Back to Vector Motorsports

Just ordered the Corsa Catback, BMR trailing arms, toe links, hurst short throw shifter with hurts line lock, and we are putting in a LS9 clutch assembly. This is (hopefully) phase 2 of 3, where the 3rd phase will be upgraded axles and S/C possibly next year.

I got to say working with Vector has been a pleasure, their customer service is great and their work is Phenomenal. I was a little hesitant after the change over in ownership, but after a brief conversation with Greg I realized they still have the core values I was looking for, and made me feel very comfortable spending my money with them. I tried working with a more local shop but frankly they just seemed way to busy to deal with me. It just seemed to me that they really didn't care. I get it they probably have 1 out of 10 deals that are serious inquiries and they are a busy shop making money. But I just needed a better experience to make me comfortable spending the kind of money we are talking about. Vector gave that to me.

I didn't get to run too much last year at Milan while I nursed a seperated shoulder, but this summer with these mods I'm hoping for consistent low 12's. We'll see, lol.

Happy to hear! Steve at Vector is a great tuner - he tuned my '94. My dad actually works across the street at Katech who sends most of their cars (if not all) to Vector to be tuned.

You should be really pleased with those additions, the mods never do end do they...LOL, and yes when you find a shop you are happy with why change. No reason your car shouldn't run low 12s, are you going to be on DR or the stock tires this year? Hope to see you at the track when the weather breaks!!

Yeah, how is Vector Motorsports? Sounds like they are pretty good. They are close by me, so I was thinking of having them install some BMR lowering springs on my Camaro this spring..

You better get that monster trained --- because there's a 12.80 sec L99 around that's getting some new shoes!

She's back and sounds mean as hell! I have to go easy and break in the clutch properly, but the 40 minute drive home caused serious permagrin! The ls9 clutch is what the stock clutch should have felt like. the stock one was almost too smooth if that makes any sense. Now you can feel the engagement and you know exactly where the sweet spot is. The short throw will take some getting used too but so far I like it.
