Just turned the system off. I wish I didn't need sleep for work.

I have 2 360's fully functioning besides the disc drive reads games as a DVD. It's kinda hard to explain. I have a third that has RROD and a fourth that I play. The 3 non-working ones were given to me.

Never said they couldn't be fixed. Reball is touch and go. A proper reball machine with a die is major $. Most people I ran into that do it,use a cheap machine etc and it always fails at some point. This is because the issue that caused the Red Ring was never addressed, which is the heat and the board flexing. Unless you fix that issue, reballing is a band aid. Theres a place close to me who does it. Other people who fix RROD use different srcews etc. Doesn't work either. But thanks for letting me know about reballing. LOL

If thats the issue, then those xboxs have been messed with before. Most likely the wrong key for the drive. That would cause them to be an expensive dvd player. Don't want to even attempt to fix somebody elses mess. If the drives were messed with,no thanks.

Your are right about the heat and the flex but also the issue is with the solder microsoft uses. They use the lead free which cracks very easily causing the rrod. It does take some expensive equipment but I have a reballed xbox that has lasted for years.

good to know. PM me you email and stuff. Maybe I can get some business your way. Yes,true about the solder. But IMO if the flex and heat issue isn't fixed, its bound to happen again. But not always.

Out of curiosity....as I have modded systems before just not a 360, Do you have a suggested forum to research the firmware mods?

Do you have any experience with the WII or PSP's or even the Ipods/Ipads?

Easiest place to understand firmware mods I have seen is Team-xecuter.com/forums

modding the 360 is extremely easy if you have the right hardware, which I believe he does

Yep,I have all xecuters stuff. Everytime they upgrade the hardware,I do as well. I also have the ihas burner needed for the newer games. I wouldn't go so far as easy, unless you.... well. I've seen a read tons of people who brick their systems. I did one when I first started long ago. Not fun,had to replace customers console. Way before the price drops,so it was a valuable lesson. But thats another thing about me,I mess it up,I replace it. Had tons of locals who dealt with another guy, bringing me their systems because the other guy screwed them up and said it was customers fault. So,not everyone can do it. But most can, after you get all the equipment and your pc can run the software the right way.
