Bought 2012 Synergy - Summit White, PA-to-KS ROAD TRIP help !!!

Hello All,
This is my First Post...
Yes, I am new to camaro5.com but have been following for a while.

I finally am in a position in my life that I was able to buy my Camaro. Glad I had to wait because I love the 2012 interior and Chevy just introduced the Synergy Package and (what I am told by Chevy) the one I bought is the 1st 2012 Synergy to hit the dealers and the only Summit White Stick with Sunroof (as of Friday 02-25). okay to correct me if I am wrong ;o]

I am based in Kansas City and my new addition is in Scranton, PA.
Already bought the plane ticket for this Thursday and am looking forward to taking my time driving it back !!!
(I will leave the area this Thur about 6:00pm, heading West)

Does anyone have a suggested route, places to see, Photo Ops and maybe places to stay along the way?

I will be traveling Thur Eve, Fri, Sat and am looking for places to stay;
Thur night in PA
Fri night in OH?
Sat night in IL?
No plans yet, but would like to swing by Indianapolis on Fri/Sat.

YES, I can get hotels, I can use GPS, Maps, etc...
I just thought it would more fun to maybe meet up with Fellow Camaro5 folks !!!

Does anyone know if the fin from the convertible will fit on a Coupe ?

Thanks for your time,
Scott

P.S. I will be updating my profile later today

The dealer is assembling the Synergy package, and tinting the windows;
I did NOT get those oversize 21" Wheels, not my style
They are not installing the Rear Fin (I want a different style) and they are not installing the white "Heritage" grille (I want black) and they are not installing the front license plate holder (I will drive without until I am forced to install). Will sell Fin, Grill on eBay when I get home.

NOT my car, but the below are the Fin and Grill I am not having installed.
They will be in boxes in the Camaro when I drive home

Beautiful! You're a lucky man.

When I first saw this car, I was in love. It's a major reason that I chose Camaro but sadly it was out of my price range. Enjoy the hell out of it because it's a unique Camaro that is not a dime a dozen. If you get tired of it down the road, PM me! lol

I don't think the boxes for the dovetail spoiler and grill will fit in the car (I have both and they didn't fit in mine). You may want to check on having them shipped to your house. I live just west of Pittsburgh. If you make it this far Thursday night (and you should be able to) you can make Indy Friday afternoon.

That box in the picture is probably the grille, but the spoiler box won't fit.

Also, the Synergy package was first offered mid-2011 model-year,we actually saw a few on the line being built when we were up Oshawa last year in June for the plant tour.

PM me a price on what you'd take for the white heritage grille.

Sharp car.

Cool. Another KC Camaro . A few years ago I picked up a Jag for my wife up around that area and drove it back. Hit two wrecks that closed the highways and GPS saved my rear so I'm glad you're taking one.

Just a suggestion, if you're considering a clear bra or splash guards it may be good to have it done by the time you pick up. That's a pretty good drive and chances are you're going to pick up your first nicks by the time you get home.

Either way have a great trip, bet you have a grin the whole way home!

Thanks everyone...

I am working the overnight shift and will be planning my trip and keeping my eye on the thread for more tips, suggestions, comments !!

I knew there was a 2011 Synergy Series, was planning on buying a RS SS and building my own until I discovered the 2012 Synergy is now available.
Anyone know more details about the Synergy Series for 2012 ?
I read somewhere it is not a Limited Time, Limited Number, etc...
How can I tell what number mine is ?

I was told mine is the first 2012 Synergy sold and (as far as Summit White) the only LS3 with Sunroof (so far). Am wondering how accurate the Chevrolet.com Chat assistant was.

Glad to be "Part of the Crew" and am looking forward to hanging out.

I ended up getting it AT invoice !!!
Had the $500 GM Loyalty rebate and they said that would be their profit.
No haggle, I knew what invoice was, called and said I would but it. No financing ;o]

I do not have any pics of the exterior yet. The external pics posted above were to show the parts NOT being installed on mine.
I want a Black Heritage Grill and a Different Rear Fin - Maybe like the convertible one.
Should be getting a few more pictures from the dealer in the next few days as installation continues. I am a photographer and can't wait to start shooting.

Nice to see the red ring on the gauge cluster straight from the factory. Should have been that color on all the models IMHO.

Agree, but depending on the time you have and your tastes...

Get out of PA ASAP. North for Niagra Falls and the R&R Hall of Fame.
South if you like a trip through the Appalations in Virginia.

There are two-lane highways that parallel the Interstates. Use those when time allows. GPS can always get you back on track.

I would definitely have the grill and spoiler installed.
You can change them later but I'll bet any comments on your ride will be positive.

Out of the boxes they will be easier to fit. Installed, well, no need to fold down the rear seat

IMHO

Appreciate the trip suggestions . . . Still working on the route.

Am trying to fins a Clear Bra installer along the way.

As far as the Grill and the Fin,
Nope, not installing - Can always be added later to finish the Synergy Package but I bought the Camaro to put a smaller fin and Black Heritage grill. If I install now, I can only sell for used price later.
