Sunday, Febuary 26, 2012 Danica Patrick wins the Daytona 500 race as the most media hyped drive in NASCAR history.

Now wait 24 hr for proof.

"Danica had a reported verbal brawl with a few rowdy wet fans over her Indy car career and was reported to have been over heard firing back with how much easier NASCAR is because you only have to turn left as a jab. As she moved on through the crowd a rebuttal was hollered out “ Don’t forget to turn off the blinker!” as laughter rolled through like a wave."

Lol, can't believe how many people are taking this seriously! I knew it was fake as soon is I saw the words "Danica Patrick" "won" and "race" in the sentence. I can't stand her, she is way overhyped. If she was a guy, no one wod have ever heard of her and I doubt she'd still be driving due to her dismal record.

Win's are not the only thing that gets you noticed..... sad but true.

Big problem I have is when folks assume I have a problem with her just because she’s a woman driver. Even though it’s true, you should give someone the benefit of the doubt that they have more valid reasons.

Or the in car video where she took her hands off the wheel and covered her face. Are you saying she can't win with her eyes closed?

No, I haven't met her and don't care to. I think I have a valid reason - she's a terrible driver with a horrible record who, if she was anyone else, would have been fired long ago. I feel the same way a about anyone that can't do their job, yet is still kept on the payroll.

She wasn't rude to me, but I've seen enough to know she's a b! Worst of all, she constantly blames others for her failures.

As for stealing my cereal, I doubt she's fast enough to steal anything

I met her, she's not that rude. Not any more rude than I'd be if I was trying to walk somewhere and people just wouldn't leave me the F alone. She took her time to talk for a few minutes then said she had to go, and walked off... No big deal.

I've got absolutely NO problem with a woman in NASCAR, NHRA, Indy, etc., it really doesn't bother me one bit.

Watching NASCAR, the NHRA, and Indy going on 30+ years, I realize it's "a show" (NASCAR having placed too much priority on the show versus racing IMO). So I don't blame an individual because they're overhyped by one of the racing organizations.

What I DO have a problem with is drivers, who when involved in an accident, rarely accept it as part of the nature of the sport, and ALWAYS blame others and act as though they're "entitled", either because of their success, or the focus placed on them by the sport.

IMO, Danica falls into the category above, and she is by no means alone. I accept the fact of human nature that one will react by being angry when involved in a wreck, but I respect drivers who accept it as a part of the sport, avoid walking down pit lane to scream at another driver, etc., and MOVE ON.

Danica has talent...and I admire her spirit...if she could just STOP acting like an entitled spoiled brat, I might actually be interested in her racing career. Until then, I'll view her, and other drivers like the Busch brothers,
as talent, overpayed, spoiled brats.
