Had to give up my Allocation

Well, I didn't have to give it up, I chose to. I spent my down payment on something else (pic below). Any way I will be anxiously waiting and watching as everyone receives their cars. It's an awesome car. I hope everyone enjoys their cars. I'm sure they will great. Maybe in a few years, I will be back to half of a down payment, and I will be back in the running.

Congrats, hope she appreciates what you did. I'm putting off the car to be in a better financial situation for kids. It'll take us a little longer to get there but it'll happen. 50th Anniversary ZL1 in four years?

congrats. you get more excitement out of a wife but a car c0ckblockes you alot less. ha ha.

I only have one thing left on my bucket list, a menage a ocho and my selfish wife always finds a way to not let me complete the list. He mom said she has just always had sharing issues.

Right...wedding, then house, then kids, then college fund, vacations, then.... if you had to give up your ZL1 in order to buy the ring it was probably a wise financial decision anyway not to get the near 60K car. Wish you all the happiness in marriage! I highly recommend a good marriage over a material possesion anyways. Congrats!

Congratulations! You can always get another car, but a special Life-Partner is rare and is for always. 46 years for us, so look at the long term, you will not regret it.

Actually it's wedding cake that makes them evil and kills their sex drive.

It's looking like the beginning of the end for you, LOL...house, family sedan, kids, minivans, college and it will be another 20 years before you can get back to non-practical car like a Camaro...I bought an '85 Vette fresh out of college and have gone thru a number of sedans, minivans, small SUVs and large SUVs until 2 years ago. Looking back now, I would have done the same thing over again. For some, marriage and kids are not always BAD. Congrats and GOOD LUCK !

Congrats! Don't listen to those nah-sayers. Family is tops in priority. I waited until I was well established both financially and family wise before buying my "toy". This is a wise move.

However, I hope you showed the lucky lady her ring before you posted it here!

If shes got a decent job...no reason you can't have the ZL1 and the wife? Gotta hold off on the kids though.

Put the other part of the down payment down on a nice town and country mini-van?

Kidding. Congrats
