Help Your Big Brother Out! Haha a G8 GT needs Brembos!

I'm over here from G8board looking for some SS brakes. I need both calipers and rotors! I have a heavily modded 2009 Pontiac G8 GT and as you should all know that is the big brother to the new Camaro If you can help me out let me know!

I'll update this first post if I've found what I'm looking for.

So far still looking!

You want pics, eh?

There she is... for a 4000lb car these g8's are really lacking in braking power!

I really like your car bro . Do you want both fronts and rear or only fronts.

I suppose only the fronts are necessary (the front rotors on these heavy cars are only 12" and warp wayyy too easily) but pending the price I'm willing to go for all four as well...

The calipers are more important to me than the rotors, as I wouldn't mind going for some drilled/slotted DBA's or something to look pretty behind my new brembos but like I said if good rotors can be had for a reasonable price I'll definetly consider them!

^^^ Haha hell yeah! I wasn't sure if a G8 guy posting on a camaro forum would be acceptable, but im appreciative of the warm welcome! There is quite the market out there for your used SS calipers with G8 owners... like I said our cars are severely under-braked and unfortunately G8's didn't stick around long enough to get the wealth of aftermarket options available for camaros.

6 months old, 3,000 miles. Garage kept, stored in Winter. I only will have the calipers along with the brake lines. Yes all four.

they have 7500 miles on them. 6000 of that was with Hawk Ceramic Pads on them so they are still perfect, no discernible wear. I can send pics if ya want... PM me with the info

If POPtheoriginal ends up taking only the fronts, I may take the rears off of your hands. Just to be fair, here is my current ride.

Hey Rocket! Pending shipping estimates I'm still on the fence regarding all of the brake parts, so I'll keep you updated if you'd like as I may be able to find parts in Canada and you and the other G8 owners can fight over whats offered on this thread haha!

Love the 710's

Thanks, these rims really set this car off. That G8 of yours looks pretty hot and everything is in good taste.

Haha wow yes a pic thread may be more appropriate than posting in the FS section. I didn't realize there were other G8 drivers on this site. I guess since many stock/aftermarket parts from the Camaro fit G8's it was to be expected!

I actually purchased 20" VMR 710's in the silver finish and had them shipped up to Canada and decided that they weren't the look I was looking for on a white car. That was an expensive mistake. I love the look on a stryker blue G8 though. And ajayniceg8, I have a feeling you're wheels may have had origins off of this forum ?

ahh what the heck. Here's mine. It is in the best color too. I am hoping to put Camaro 20's on it this summer and maybe some brembos. Just depends on my available funds.
