Any news on Doug Thorley long tube headers yet??

Any news on Doug Thorley long tube headers yet??

Anyone know what they're up to by chance??? If they can somehow figure out how to make the long tube headers avoid the CEL, then they are genius and i want to hold off on any exhaust upgrades until those.

I guess i just don't see what they could be working on for so long for them to be significantly different than other LTs like BBK, SW, ARH, or anything like those if they're not working on avoiding the CEL.

Or maybe it's just wishful thinking???

Any ideas or insight would make my long day at work much more enjoyable..

Getting longtubes without a CEL is wishful thinking.

I'm hoping they make them in 1 3/4 and price them reasonable.

Why don't you give ivan@southwestspeed a shout out since he was the one that advertised them?

So I talked with Ivan and he said that they still cannot find a car to do the R&D on. A bunch of guys said they could do it but they weren't stock so that's a no go.

If anyone is in the area and can either revert easily to stock or is stock and has a 2010 or 2011 camaro with the LLT engine they should give them or Ivan a shout!

I will update this thread as i learn more

Thanks for the update! I wish we knew if what they are doing different was something worth waiting for..

I'm sure it's something special if they're are taking this long to get LTs, but i just wish we knew if it was substantially different.

WOW!! This is ridiculous. So no one would sacrifice a few days for free DT LT!? I wish they were in or near maryland.

I do not think you should expect anything "special" as I think they are just going to be your regular run of the mill long tubes but hey...you never know haha.

The reason it is taking so long is because they cannot find a car to help them out. either way i will wait for these long tubes so they match to my DT cat-back

I know right?! I think they just can't find anyone that is stock in the area... it would be definitely worth the free headers to spend a few hours putting your stock intake back on and stock exhaust

Ivan you can have my stock airbox and exhaust and offer to switch it out for the tester if you want to?

Well it's Kali so LT's are illegal right? I guess nobody out there wants to put LT's on their car because it will make their car illegal.
