How to beat a V12 Aston Martin Vantage
So my old man drives a V12 Vantage pushing about 510HP. (He has a race exhaust)
The car is the best part 150 Lbs lighter than my 2SS.

What do you guys think I need to do to make my car win the 1/4 mile??

At some point I have the Hennessey Performance 650 Package in my future than will boost my HP up to 655 at the crank. Do you think that will be enough to match the weight difference?

This will be moved to the Camaro Vs. section.....buttttt put on the Hennessey 650 pkg and I think you'll give him a good run for his money.

He only runs about a 12.5 @117 1/4 stock. So you would lay waste to him with the Hennessey package. I ran 13.0 @ 108.5 off the showroom floor. All you need is a set of long tubes, high flows , tune , DR's and few other bolt ons and you would give him a run or beat him without the Hennessey package.

Bolt ons will get you a 12.5, A S/C will get you a 11.5. Hopefully my new t/c will get me faster....

Meaning he paid 100k+ and lost to less than 40k worth of car....I hope the name is enough to make him happy. Usually it's the AS guys who stare at my car hehe. Realize...regardless what happens...you're driving a Chevy...and he's driving an Aston. He wins.

I've driven both (V8 Vantage and my Camaro) and its not even a fair comparision lol But it shouldn't be for 40K to 140K.

Nice as the Camaro is, it just can't cope with any Aston Martin.

It is sad that the Camaro can beat the AM.

The AM will definitely make it alot easier to dirty your sheets with random chicks though.

He is still driving an aston martin, speed is not the only thing cars are for.
If a civic beat a camaro in speed, the camaro is still better.

Trust me, I can dirty a lot of sheets with a Camaro 2SS/RS and an extra hundred grand in my pocket than he can with just an AM.
