Get the 3.73. It gets you in the power band quicker and it feels like you gained 40 ft. Lbs of torque, with the 3.55 it feels like you gained 27 ft. Lbs of torque.

3.73's are the way to go- 3.55 not enuff for the $.

Remember you'll have to get your speedo calibrated for the new gears too.

I just installed a nine inch diff and went with 3.07 gears due to the power level I'm shooting for and to retain driveability... 3.45's are the stock gearing for the M6... Though you probably knew that...

There is more of a science to selecting the right gears than just picking a number...

Here is some interesting material to help you get started... Hopefully this will lead you in the right direction.

4.11's might be too much on the V6. I would think 3.73's would be a better balance. Then again I'm not as familiar with the 6 banger.

On the V6, any bigger than 3.73 and you won't bother to use 1st gear. You won't need to cause it'll be a "tractor gear" . Great for parades, but not much else.
A 3.91 might be a little fun, IF we had a decent 2nd gear synchro. But we don't.

And at highway speeds you'll be turning more RPM than you'd like, and burning alot more fuel.

While I believe the V6 probably won't stress the driveline enough to blow up 3.73 Richmonds for piece of mind I would spend the little bit more and get the LPE 3.73's. They are made by American Axel the OEM gear supplier and built to that standard.
