Awesome_SS...2, GM...0 for Breach of Warranty
Just won my second lawsuit against GM for Breach of Warranty, Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act Violation of VCPA 59.1-200. First lawsuit can be read here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183524
This case was more clear cut than the other one and definately something GM should honor. I developed a coolant leak from the oil cooler hose fitting on the left side of the engine block. There is a PIP#4735B bulletin that explains that the threads on the fitting were crossthreaded into the engine block from the factory. The short story: I took the car to the dealer and they called the local GM representative to lift the warranty block off my car in order to make the the $310 repair that was obviously caused by GM and NOT the modifications made to my car. Basically, the GM rep gave me the . So, I e-mailed GM customer service and they gave me the . I said to myself, this time they are going to pay for all my attorney fees I have accumulated so far plus filing fees, parts, and labor. I filed another lawsuit and GM contact me back to agree to pay me full cost $518. FYI: My attorney advised me to sue GM for the cost of another warranty, but I only have a little less than a year left on it. By the time it goes to court, there would probably be less than 6 months. So, I just decided to win the battles and not the war.

As long as you are not the Local GM representative, you can step on my grass anytime.
I always play by the 3 strike and your'e out rule...and believe me, he has struck out many times.

Exactly. They did their very best to weasel out of it, telling me my mods made the sensor go bad and tried to ignore the service bulletin on the crossthreaded fitting from the factory.
