ZL1 strut brace

Does anyone have a part number for the ZL1 strut brace?

I believe it's just the GM strut tower brace.

Here is what I found.. The more expensive one is for the LSA ZL1 Engine and the other is for the LS/LT 3.6, SS - L99/LS3 with part numbers below for each.

The tower change first appeared on the 2012 Vert.

As long as you have the newer per-drilled strut towers. They are on later 2011 Camaros and all 2012.

You'll need the adapter kit.

Aftermarket only, and available only from RDS far. Whiteside was supposed to have a kit ready. But every time he gives us a date to expect his kit we hear nothing for a couple months and then get "oh it 'll be done soon" line. The link to buy is in post 10 above.

I have yet to see anyone confirm it'll fit under the stock hood without rubbing. The ZL1 hood has a touch more clearance and no insulation in that spot. The maggie shouldn't be an issue but I dunno about the hood and insulation rubbing.

im pretty much 100% sure it will not rub your hood. all the people thats got them has not had any complaints. even from the 2010 models to the 2012 model. all the same hood so it has clearance for it. nobody has verified zl1 yet. car isnt out. plus the zl1 has its on strut brace as well. its a different part number

This thread is about the ZL1 bar; see the pic in the 1st post. I know the original will fit fine and will fit over a maggie/whipple.

Interesting! I just checked my car and it does have those holes drilled for it. Production date was April 2011 on mine.
