Brakes

Ok so my stock ss brake pads are getting close to being worn out. I was originally planning on using hawk ceramic pads and getting the rotors turned. But I keep seeing posts about brake squeel.
What should I get/use.
Also the caliper bolts that are torque to yield... should I replace those and where could I get these from

Im in the process of doing the same thing since my Powdercoated Calipers are on their way. I was leaning toward the HPS pads, racing brake fluid and the Pedders brake lines.

I got my Hawk Ceramics to stop sounding like a school bus with the following bedding (this is allot more severe than Hawk said to do) 65 to 20mph 10 times in a row and then drove highway speed for 20 minute cool down.

My front brakes had smoke coming off them when I was done. Now they are no worse than the OEM pads where but stop allot better.

My Hawk ceramic pads work great and with no noise. I followed Hawk's bedding process, but I also used generous amounts of brake grease on any moving part like the back of the pads, and pins.

On stock brake combos we've been very happy using DBA rotors.

I have gotten the squeal out of actual racing pads by using Permatex copper anti-seize instead of the CRC crap. http://www.permatex.com/products/aut...ubricant_b.htm
The CRC crap gets hard and crumbles out at high temps. I just put the anti-seize on every mating surface of the pistons, shims, and brake backs. Either Pagid or Ferodo actually include a packet of the copper stuff.
