detailing products comparison

Ok, so like any new buyer I'm a little skeptical about Adams products. I'm going to pick up a few things from the local dealer but wanted to know if you guys really saw a difference between other quick detailers vs Adams? As well as the car shampoo? I'm sure ill love it as I have seen how many do, but just wanted to hear your guys experiences to get me excited for this stuff

My experience only!!! NOT AN ADAMS REP!!!
Ok, now that that's out of the way...

Detail spray... didn't really notice a difference right away, but after I used the Americana wax, and then detail spray after the next wash... WOW!!!

Car shampoo: AWESOME!!! Love the smell and when foamed it is very lubricative to wash with. The PH is neutral, unlike some that I've seen on store shelves.

OK, that's about it from me.... Next!

Not an Adam's rep. Just a guy looking to make his cars shine and sparkle.

Adam's is not the only brand, and may not even be the very best brand, BUT:

They make their products easy to use and easy to learn (important for a novice like I am) AND:

Their products work! AND:

Their service is highly commendable.

You should give them a try but BE WARNED:

This whole business of detailing is VERY ADDICTING (and very rewarding.)

Good Luck!

Here's the great part about Adams...buy the detail spray, try it out against your current favorite, and if it doesnt blow you away, return it for 110% refund including the shipping. You literally cant lose but I guarantee you wont be returning anything...lol

Started with the All purpose cleaner and VRT for the tires. Saw that was great so went on to buy more Adams products.

I think the grit guards (can use Home depot buckets if not transporting the wash), wash pads and great white drying towels (or elec leaf blower) are a must to cut down on paint correction. Detail spray helps in drying.

As far as car wash, I have tried Adams and Zanio but just like 1Z Einszett Perls Shampoo. But adams is great and will not strip wax. Once you get these basics that help avoid paint swirl damage you can start adding products as you go. Adams is good and offers 110% return if you do not like. There are others out there but I stay mostly with Adams except for the Perls.

Jason Toscano in San Antonio is a good guy and will help you any way he can. Others on the fence may want to look for local dealers to help make the correct choice.

I have been using Adam's product for a couple of years now so I'll try to give you the benefit of MY experience with Adams products.

1. They work....plain and simple they work....If you are doing polishing it may take you a little bit of time to perfect your technique but once you do all roads lead to Shineville.

2. The best Customer Service I have ever seen.

3. I have tried pretty much all of the products they offer and can say without a doubt they really work well and as advertised....from the interior, carpet cleaner to the wax it all works well.

4. The products are American made and have a 110% guarantee if you do not like them for whatever reason. Can't beat that....unfortunately I have never used this since all products work and I have liked them all.

They have a forum where you can go and ask as many questions as you like, always treated with respect there, everyone is always helpful and considerate.

Here is the thing...there are several companies that make good detailing products and Adam's is not the be all of detailing supplies BUT the products are easy to use, they act like they care about their customers and have always helped me with any question I had...ALWAYS....don't know if other vendors do that.

Another vote on Adam's. There are other products that produce results but Adam's products are easy to use and as mentioned great customer service.

It's results like these that get me excited for buying the stuff. All I want to know is if they do make a difference on the casual wash. I'm certainly getting Adam's for my detail in a couple of weeks but did anyone notice a difference while they were car washing?

Using their products and techniques will keep you from introducing new scratching from day to day washing.

If you haven't watched Junkman's Videos or the Adam's videos you should.

The best suggestion I can make is try em! Like another member suggested they're all backed with a satisfaction guarantee so you'll love em... or make 10% on your purchase

Also, be sure to check out dealer listing on the site, you may have someone nearby stocking product that can let you check out some demos before you buy.

I just tried Adam's for the first time last weekend, "Brilliant Glaze" and the cloth cleaner....man this stuff works, definitely getting more.
By far the easiest, and best looking sealer/glaze....

never used adam's but i can bet the quality of adam's is superior to anything you will find in a local store, but that's mainly because OTC car care products are pretty crummy.

that being said, you can get your hands on equal (and potentially superior) products to adam's if you purchase online and know what you're looking for. i buy all of my car products from autogeek.net, unless of course we are talking about a sponge or a bucket, which i can pick up locally without concerns.

Adam's is a bit pricey so I only buy their stuff if they are on special (Ex. Detail spray + free microfiber towel). Although pricey, some of the stuff is supposed to last a long time - the polishes and waxes are a good example. But you have bad examples of this like the detail spray and the quick sealant. The applicators and polish pads are also a good example - they are durable, reusable and if treated right will last a long time.

I love their detail spray - I have like 2 gallons of it at any time.

I love their polishes - I have a bottle of each and those should last a long while if properly used.

I love their quick sealant, glaze and buttery wax - they give the car an unreal shine with depth. I detailed my friend's infinity hood and he said it looks like there's another world on the other side of the clear coat, I agree.

I love their towels - They are super soft and durable, but they are pricey so I never buy them alone, I get them whenever I re-up for what I'm low on and usually the specials will include a free towel.

For car soap I use Meguiar's gold class - cheap and foams up very well with my Gilmour foam gun.

I have those big ol' blue Wal-mart buckets meant for mixing paint - sturdy, tall, high volume and the grit guards fit perfectly inside.
