Tuning for Vararam (inTune)

I'm thinking about buying the Vararan tune intake

I have a Diablo Sport Intune.

If I go Vararam...
What fuel trim levels should I adjust to? All I have been able to find via Google is for the no tune..

...right now just running the Diablo tune and only other mod is Corsa cat back...

From the instruction manual for Vararam I found this (no reference to the tune model):
"...
Custom tuning - based on a stock car with a no tune model
Cold start, this should be in Parameter
Cruise - also in parameter
Wide open throttle operation (timing) Fuel
600-2000RPM + 4 deg -5%
2000-4000RPM + 4 deg -5%
4500-5000RPM + 4 deg -5%
5100-5500RPM + 4 deg -5%
5600-5800RPM + 3-4 deg -5%
This is a conservative combination and does not include removal of Torque management. If you have a catback etc...
..."

Would I expect similar values for Vararam tune model?

I'm really trying to decide if I need to factor the cost of a custom tune in my budget or if I can just adjust these values myself using the inTune I have...

It says on Vararam's site to expect +18% or more.

I would not suggest adding 4 degrees of timing to the factory tune or the Diablo Tune, this is BAD info.

Also Diablo reduces fueling by scaling injectors and this is also Wrong way of Tuning for a Vararam.

When my car was stock and I put the tune Vararam on, the fuel trims went well past 20%...the MAF cross sectional area is just a lot larger.

For what it's worth...I corrected the MAF calibration off the wideband, and I left the spark advance in the car 100% stock...it made excellent power, and drove very nicely. I have since tweaked the spark table a little...but it's been adding a degree here, pulling a degree there...smoothing a bump...small stuff...nowhere close to just blindly tossing 4 degrees at a portion of the table.

Same here. Mine went lean pass 20%+ but it seems some cars trims stay perfect and some don't. Mine is one of them that always go lean with any aftermarket intake.

Trust me it is not the Cars, they are consistent.

Wow 4 deg is a lot. It would probably see crazy amounts of kr in the 5000-5500 range. I'd rather see a raped pe table than a raped fuel injector flow rate........

It's a wonderful approach to tuning.

"Let's compensate for this table being incorrect by going to this other table and making it incorrect as well!"

Why do people still think that this is acceptable?
