Our drop spring packages were designed to lower the car about 1.25 inches. The car will definitely ride a little sportier than stock, but is still absolutely comfortable for daily driving. It feels more like a sports car than as it comes from the factory, but we don't increase the spring rates to the point that it becomes harsh on the street. During our initial impressions of the car 1.25" is about all you really want to lower the car on the stock shocks for best performance with little decrease to the lifespan of the shock. You can check out the photo gallery of Camaro's equipped with our drop springs here:

Hopefully a lot of our customers will chime in here and give you some feedback. Most report that ride quality is slightly stiffer but not uncomfortable by any means. Some even report that they don't feel a decrease in ride quality at all. The OE rates are very conservative so you can add a good amount of rate before ride quality begins to suffer.

As for 1" vs. 1.25", at least when looking at our springs (1", 1.4"), the ride quality is equal because the spring rates are equal. The difference is shock travel. The lower you go the less shock travel you have and the easier it is to hit the bump stops. If you have bad roads in your area with lots of potholes, dips, and bumps you will hit the bump stops sooner with the lower spring.

Here's what I did. I used Eibach Pro Kit 1.25" lowered. It was more my budget, and I didn't do nearly enough homework. Ride's not too drastic of a change. You'll definitely feel more bumps and bounces of bad roads. Pfadt, Pedders, BMR are all great systems. I've rode with folks that have em. Also, do something I didn't think about...AirLift's air suspension system. It's comparably priced. The only member I pm'd with loves it. Not trying to push one over the other, but get as much information as you can before deciding. I have 22" and 24" low profile tires. That's also contributing to more bumps. These cars look agressive lowered. My guess is, you'll be happy whichever way you choose.

I have the pedders 1.3"/1.0" drop. To tell you the truth, I didn't feel a difference until it came to drastic bumps. Any drastic bumps and you can tell but it's not bad by any means. I'll put it this way: if the camaro came with this feel in the suspension, most people probably wouldn't even mind. In every other situation, it feels just like stock. The girlfriend didn't even notice it until a drastic bump came up. I think the cars look great lowered

1.0"-1.25" drop is about the right height to go with before needing to go with a set of coil overs. The ride will be slightly stiffer with a drop spring but not drastic, drop springs use a higher spring rate to help with the reduced amount of suspension travel. We have had great luck with the Pedders drop springs they are designed to be used with the OE struts and the OE bump stops with no cutting.

+1. Didn't mean to leave out Pedders. Another great system. OP, there's many to choose from. Actually, I haven't heard a bad thing about any of them. Good luck with your selection.

Depends on the springs but the BMR 1 inch and Pfadt 1.25 both ride very well.

I completely agree but I have Pfadt. Rides the same if not better than stock except those big hits.

The front will be no problem, the back with the 315 on 11's are going to be awful close.I have seen this set up on a couple of camaro's but both of them had some rubbing when hitting bumps or a dipp in the road.

I have 1" Eibach's and have 315's on my show wheels on 11" Modulare wheels, if you have Nitto Invo's shouldn't be an issue had no rubbing issues, but have Pirelli's on them now and they do rub when bottoming out on a big bump in the road...

I am going with the 1.4" BMR's for the most drop i can get with a spring. Just fit my budget. I have drove a car with these and it had a great ride quality. I am just having to wait because the 1.4's arent available. It will be worth it though.
