advice on clay bar
hello everyone
![]() i recently wanted to clay bar my car and im stuck on the decision. i have a coupon for chemical guys auto detailing so it has to be purchased through them. the car has never been clayed, so it has that sandy sound when your hand is passed. the company offers three different clays(light, medium, hard) so im stuck on that as well. i found these two bundles but im not sure if they are right for my car. http://www.chemicalguys.com/ProductD...Y_221&CartID=1 http://www.chemicalguys.com/ProductD...Y_789&CartID=2 please let me know if you have a better bundle i can buy from them. im clueless

Go down to Walmart and pick up the Mothers or Meguiars Clay kit. All clay is made by the same company so there is no reason to pay big dollars for it. I like the detail spray that comes in the mother's kit better, but it really doesn't matter. Don't need to use expensive DS either as you're just going to be washing it off.

For 99% of cars you'll never need anything more than light unless you're cleaning up some extremely bad overspray or similar problems... the medium and aggressive bars will introduce a ton of marring and are completely unnecessary in most common situations.

These towels are the best IMO around : http://www.pakshak.com/ultra-plush-m...l-16x16-1.html
A good clay bar should work for you in safely removes imbedded contamination from all glass and painted surfaces. |
