That's great Pete. I've still got my '87 Camaro sitting in my garage. Just can't seem to bring myself to selling it. I haven't driven it in about 10 years, and it still fires up with no issues.
Post up a picture of it so I'll know who to look for in my mirrors.
I guess the capn pete plate will be still in use eh?
See you there.

Here's the beast:

These pictures are from a couple years ago, but its appearance hasn't changed, except I have black w/polished lip C5Z knock-offs on it now. But of course, still sporting the Cap'n Pete plates!

You caught that eh?
I know you can drive, I'll slow down from corner 8 to 5 to let you catch back up after the straight away.

I managed to catch a ~780HP Ford GT a couple seasons back, lap after lap, coming into Turn 5 ... and then he'd disappear up the back-straight like I was standing still, and then come Turn 5, I'd be back on his bumper! That was in the '93 Z28 I had - gutted, roll-cage, coil-overs, but a STOCK LT1 (~300HP?). I didn't feel too bad about that one .

To be honest, I don't know what my best time was/is with my '02 Z28. It's been a long time since I've run it at Mosport, and I was still learning the track at the time. I think I hit a 1:38 with it?? I know I got the '93 down to a 1:35, and I dipped into a 1:31 with the Z06 (still leaving time out there). I'd like to shoot for ~1:35 - 1:36 with the '02, now that I have a lot more experience under my belt. It'll really depend on the day, and what tires I end up running.

I fully expect that if you can drive, you'll leave me in your dust following T5, and that's as close as I'll get .

I'm just teasing ya Pete.
I don't know what my lap times are??
My wife got me a go pro and I'll let that record the times this year.
I'm not one of the top drivers out there, and still have lots to learn.
Goin' fast is sure fun though.

Good to know that there's no issue with the stock axles/seals .......... so it begs the question, what did you "upgrade" for anyway?!
I am stealing that video.... just sayin.

OK Pete, post up in the Canadian section which day is best for you to go to mosport.
We're trying to get some C5ers to go to the track.

I found your post, and can hopefully make it out on July 10th!

I've got a couple things to do first to get the ol' girl ready.

1) ordered a Tick master cylinder to replace my crappy factory one ... I'm having WICKED issues with the clutch not releasing, making it harder and harder to get into 1st and Reverse, and making up/down shifts very difficult on the track.

2) ordered UMI brackets to offset the front calipers so I can run 13" C5 'Vette brakes

3) get my new set of Nitto NT01's mounted!!!
