There is a Sandman Hotel that is close and offers parking, well they aren't offering we are borrowing.If we were to leave at 9:00am we would be able to stop in Golden for lunch, lots of fast food, (DQ my wife's favorite, Subway, McD's,etc.) and that would leave us a 2 hr 30 min run to Three Valley Gap to meet with the BC group. Was just thinking even with the time change 9 would still be a good time to meet, as we saw there's a bit of construction west of Banff plus a bit of radar

Again putting it out there that Barb and I have a big yard (tents). Jim and Myrna have dibs on the spare room, but lotsa floor space for those who have far to travel.

Okay Alberta Camaro owners it is time to start the planning for this run. We have a start time from Calgary at 9:00am and we hope to be in Golden to meet up with Layla (Meltdownaverted) for lunch. As Merc said there are five rooms left so if anyone from our Alberta cruise wants to join in now is the time before all the rooms are gone. I will check back through the list to see who we all have coming and send out information as we figure it out.

Here's what you have been waiting for, the Host Hotel announcement. First off a BIG Thanks goes out to Meltdown for Her work securing a Hotel for the July 21/22 BC/Alberta Meet and Greet. Do to a near capicity reservations for 3 Valley Gap that weekend, we had to do a last minute Hotel change.

The Host Hotel will be:

Edmonton to Canmore 4 hours. Going cross country by pass Calgary on Stony Trail (201) to Canmore at 10:00 am. The way I am going.
Canmore to Golden 2 hours.
Calgary to Golden 3.5 hours ,,,longer depends on Canmore meet.
Golden to Revelstoke 2 hours.

Calgary leaves at ?:00 am. for lunch in golden. 3.5 hrs
Edmonton leaves at 6:00 am for lunch in golden. 6 hrs. Meet in Canmore with Calgary or outside Calgary off Stony Trail(201).

Sorry re-read your whole post, I didn't quite get it as it isn't in Russian and my interpreter had a hard time with the English, .
I guess we can meet outside of Calgary as well, Just have to figure a time, although if you are heading to Canmore it might be better to meet there. Your thoughts?? By the way did you check out the pictures from the Alberta cruise the wife only managed to snap one of your hands up photos.

If you meet in The Wendys Parking lot right beside the Sheridan might be a great place to roll out of Calgary all together, you would just take the exit heading east off of Stoney Trail and then go north at the first set of lights


Oh and according to google maps it exactly 1 hour from Wendys to the exit you pointed out in Canmore JIm

That looks like a good spot for everyone to gasther and then collect us in Canmore on the way thru ... thinking 5 min in Canmore max and cruise.
