Two years old today!

My Camaro is officially two years old today. I picked my 2011 IOM 2SS M6 Camaro up on the 1st July 2010. I turned over 18,028 miles when I parked it up on Friday night (yes it's my daily driver).

Here it is, cleaned up this morning.

To see my first year of ownership mods, click here...

In this second year of ownership, I've added a vinyl hood insert

...and some side vent inserts

...and plastidipped the tail light bezels

...added a few more stone chips on the front

...and got rearended for a second time... (sigh). Yes, it was the guy in the Jag and he was still on his cell phone after he hit me...

Had the rear valance replaced two weeks after it happened. All back good as new. Here are a couple more pics from today.

Still love this car everytime I get into it. Thank you Eric Hall for taking time on your birthday to deliver my car two years ago, and for the friendship that continued from that day. Glad to have met many people on this site.

I also became a Chevy Texas Ignites Ambassador this past year which was very exciting!

my dealer where i bought my current v6 camaro has a victory red SS manual like you have and i want that thing so bad. unfortunately with me going back to school i don't think it would be wise to upgrade just yet and also i've dumped alot of money into my v6 and i love the piss out of it. anways. happy birthday man. i still remember when i drove my car home from the dealer. i was by myself in a brand new car which i've never owned a brand new car and it just happened to be a camaro!

Happy 2nd Birthday to your IOM! Mine is coming up on 3 years and still love it to this day. I too, got rear ended last month and had to have the rear diffuser replaced as well. Judging from the picture, it looks like the guy in the Jag wasn't going that fast to begin with. Otherwise, the damage would have been worse. Mine was the same. Elderly lady was following me on the highway with traffic going very slow (5 to 10 mph) due to other accidents that afternoon. She said she was looking down and all of a sudden just came up on me.

Nice car & happy bday! As the the guy that rear ended you (pause) if he wasn't on the phone with the insurance or police. That right there warrant a damn a$$ whooping.

Woah! You only have 18,000 miles for two years. I got over that in less than one year. It seems as if I abuse my car.

Awesome car AND video!!!

Those side stripes are awesome! Did you put them on?

Where did you get the taillight bezels plasti-dipped?

Thanks!

The side vent inserts, I put them on myself, just took my time and got them nice and even. Took probably 20 mins per side to make sure it looked right. Bought them precut online for $6.50, they look great!

The tail light bezels I plasti-dipped myself too. Took my time getting them out so I didn't break any tabs, then taped up all the tabs so there was no excess paint on them. Did about 7 light coats and they look great.

I did the hood insert too... again, just take your time, make sure the vinyl is slick and you can move it into the exact position that you need to.

Sorry to hear that... it sucks. Thankfully it wasn't too bad... similar to mine.
Last time I was rear ended it was a little worse, needed the whole rear bumper replaced... thankfully no sheet metal work either time tho.

Mine is 2 tomorrow. 22,000 miles and zero problems. Too many small mods to list. Most cosmetic. In San Diego this week. Today alone had 5 people yell out that they love BumbleBee. Not bad for a 2 year old car.

Wow! She is such a beauty! I definitely enjoyed the little story that you had for the last two years. I am sure you still turn heads even today! What is your favorite feature on your Camaro?

Thanks Brandon,

Apart from the power and the design of the car, I would have to say that I love the HUD! I get into my wife's Jetta and wonder what's missing, then I realize! It's a really nice feature to have. That and the fact that I've recently started using Amazon Cloud Player on my iPhone, it streams perfectly to the car and also displays the track names on the HUD as well! Love it!

Apart from being rear ended twice, it's been a fun two years. This next year will be a record for me. The longest I have ever owned a car in my life is 2 years and 2 months... and I intend to break that record with my Camaro! It's not going anywhere. I can't afford a ZL1, so the 2SS is perfect for me! Don't need to shop elsewhere.

Another thing I love about owning my Camaro was the buying experience, from Eric Hall at Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine. An awesome sales guy. And the service there is top notch too...
