Time has come to put on exhaust

Hello everyone, the time has come for me to throw on my exhaust this weekend.

It is a Magnaflow Catback exhaust 16580. I'm putting it on my IBM 10 SS LS3 Camaro.

I'm posting just in case if anyone had tips for me this weekend.

I will be doing this myself with a couple friend's help. From what I see on the install sheet, it doesn't look hard at all. The hardest part looks like removing the factory exhaust, but I could be wrong.

I'm taking my car to a hobby shop which has all the necessary tools and lifts.

Anyone have any input?

Thanks in advance.

You are correct about the hardest part. The stock cat back comes off in one piece. It's rather heavy and akward. Spray the rubber exhaust hangars with some soapy water. It makes them much easier to slide them off. Especially the rear ones above the mufflers. It a bit of a tight fit reaching up there. When do the install make sure you get all the parts fitted together loosely and push up on the front to make sure you clear the plate which goes under the pipes. You can also check in the DIY section of the forum. I'm sure there are several exhaust installation threads with pictures.

That was the only thing that I could think of as well.

WD-40 is also an excellent alternative to soapy water on the rubber hangers.

There's a couple DIY's in that section. A quick search in that section should bring them up.
