No, you won't need to run cooler plugs. If you look at the info label that comes with the kit (the emissions and belt info label that you are suppose to stick under the hood) it tells you to use the stock sparkplug gap as well.

YES!!! you need to drop at least one heat range ,i would drop two if your over 525-550 rwhp

When I supercharged my car, I researched on here, and many people said stay with the stock plugs. Not everyone said that, but enough to convince me to keep them. And so far no problems with the stockers

Looks like, not not a simple question on the plugs. I tend to believe what NGK's website says. I don't plan on drag racing, I just want a performance weekend car that still has near stock mpg manners . I plan on getting this bolted up this coming weekend and am waiting on the fuel up grade kit from Jannetty. The plugs I can pick up anywhere so thats not an issue.
This whole supercharger thing got started when me and my wife went to Starbucks for a coffee and I parked way out. Before I could get out and past the the rear of the car a mid 2000 model Mustang GT came pulling in one spot over on the passenger side. He had his car running and his window down, I could tell he had flowmasters and they sounded good. I gave him a thumbs up and hollered, "sounds good". He shut his engine off and asked me to repeat what I said. When I told him, he said," Oh, I thought you wanted to run me." He asks me what kind of mods I had on the Camaro and I said, headers and a cai. "Well it wouldn't have been much of a race, I have a supercharger on mine." That still bothers me and that was 6 months ago.

Oh and HufferSS, no on Jackson, thats a serious camaro you have there.

It amazes me someone would think that you could run a stock plug with a blower that adds over 100 hp. Take notice that gm droped the heat range from the ss to the zl1,better yet why would they go to the trouble to make all these heat ranges if one size fits all...Ive seen a ton of motors destroyed from the wrong heat range, ive yet to see a bad motor from a cold spark plug...

We tested Stock Plugs up to 800 Wheel which is 500 Crank HP Over Stock with ZERO ISSUES, so for a simple 100 or so they are Fine.

We do Recommend ZR1 Plugs for all supercharged Gen5s

Do they make more Power, NO Do they Run better NO, just makes you feel good that you changed something

Remember the ZR1 Plugs are designed for 630 Crank HP but we run them at 1200

Ted.

LOL,ok last comment, your still buying a set of plugs, maybe the wrong heat range but your still buying a set ,I would think the sparkplug companies recomendation would be a great one.just wanted to give the members another voice .nothing against you Ted you do great work ,I just disagree with running a stock plug in a modified engine,I would think spark plug companies would rather have one part number LOL
