Misty Eyes (well, lights actually)

I've notices my rear tail-lights, indicators especially, seem to mist up when it rains.

I've had them out and checked the seals are OK, on the fronts (glass lens side) and rear (bulb insert side).

What am I missing ?

If the moisture is on the inside of the light, then how can the seals be ok? Gotta be a leak, right?

My headlights get like that as well, and its brand new, i think its just a general issue, but i dont think it really affects the visibility that much

you could do the soap bubble test. Take the headlights out of the car and then spray around the seals with soapy water. If you see bubbles form then you know that's where the leak is.

That was a problem with the 2009 model, you should have held out for a 2010. j/k couldn't help myself.

There is no 2009 model. The 2010 model year came out in 2009

I believe in the UK the model year is based when the car was registered - therefore the OP really does have a 2009 Camaro.

My Camaro 2LT was Reg. in the UK in March 2010 FYI people :-)

So, new tail lights should do it, if I'm to be lazy about it ?

yes new taillights should do it. Though they would probably be replaced under warranty.

As I am the third owner (the other two people hardly used it, 13k on the clock, in under 2 years) I'm not sure where I stand with GM Chevrolet?

My dealer gave me 6 months but I fear it may all be a Grey area?

So, I reckon the reason the Rear Turn Signal Lights do not fit so well and have a gap, and seeing as they look as though the Lenses are glued on using silicone sealant... someone once modified them for some kind of Halo light.

So the lights are a few millimetres too short.
The solution of adding washers to them at the back to make then fit closer to the chrome bexzels really doesn't do a good job :-(
They lights still mist up in damp weather too :-(

So I'd like to by a New 'pair' of Camaro 2010 Clear Lens Rear Turn Signal Lights.
And some spare orange (UK) light bulbs.

Where can I buy these USA please people?
Could I buy these UK somewhere ?

Thanks :-)

My taillights did this when I first got my car. Turned out there was a practically invisible crack in the lens. So I took it to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty.

Finding that a bit impossible in the UK for a Unique import Car like this :-(
But thank you anyway.
