is this normal ?

I went to test drive the camaro 2012 LT and on the freeway I could hear the traffic loud and clear (had the windows closed). Is this normal for the driver? Replacing the windows with better ones would help? or are my ears too sensitive

yep. Normal road noise unfortunately. Best bet would be to use sound deadener.

Coupe? Personally I think it does well for it's class. A convertible would be a different story.

It's a muscle car man. And quite possibly the most refined muscle car to date. I think the cabin is nicely isolated, for what it is.

If you want to be completely isolated from outside noise, buy a Lexus.

Considering the type and kind of car Camaro is I have to say I was very surprised by how quiet my SS was. I have absolutely no complaints on noise level. I had a '82 Camaro that was very noisey all the time and drove me nuts...NOT my 5th Gen. though..I love it!

I find my SS to be pretty darn quiet. Its not a luxury car with 500lbs of sound deadening but its pretty quiet.

JBL makes road noise eliminators. You mount the unit in the trunk and crank it up. Bam. No road noise.

Agreed. It's my daily driver, road noise has never been an issue.

OP what was your previous car?
