My Gen5's little brother.

Last fall I was looking for a winter project. I came across this old, beat up 1974 Yamaha G-1 golf cart and bought it off the fellow for $350. I figured with a little work I could have something to run around in at the track this summer.

I stripped it down to the frame and started working on it about 2 weeks before Christmas.

I'm waiting now for the seats to come back from the upholstery shop. They will be black with yellow inserts in the seat and backrest and once they're on I'll be about done.

Once completed I'll have about $2600 into it which isn't too bad compared to what I've seen them sold for on the internet after they've been rebuilt.

Cart looks awesome! It must be newer than a 1974 though; the G1 2 cycle gas cart came out in 1979. Check your serial number here to find out what year it is: http://www.buggiesunlimited.com/yamaha-serial.asp
