Sure!

You just need to use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the stripes slightly at a corner and start pulling them off at 45 deg angle. Just take your time and you will have no problems. After you have them removed if their is any adhesive residue left on the paint you can use a product 3M Adhesive Remover. It can be found usually at NAPA, Carquest, or paint supply stores. Hope this helps.

I would avoid a heat gun for a month or two because the clearcoat is in an evergoing process of settling....I would live with it for about 3 months and then do it on a 70º day
My 2 cents!

Stripe Question

100% curiosity, but how hard would it be to have the vinyl stripes removed down the line? Say for instance I wanted to take them off a couple of years from now and get some painted on? This is all speculation by the way, I don't think I'm gonna have that done...just curious though

Should be pretty easy. I have taken vinyl stickers, pin stripes, etc, off with a hair dryer and some goo gone or similar product with no problem. My only concern would be the potential for fading of the paint vs. the paint that was under the stripes.

not hard at all. if you leave them on for a couple of years you will proberly have sun fade so you will see where they where. but if you are going to get paint ons the whole hood will be scuffed and repainted .i already went to a custom place and they told me it wouldnt be a problem prices from 750 to 2500 dollars

Take em off first warm day you can asap. should come off fairly easy. also JMO it will do nothing to the curing of the paint except let the area under the decal cure, since it will not be sealing up the finish under the stripes... take em off!

There has been more than one of Mustang owners ('05-'07) who have taken off their stripes and had clearcoat and/or paint come with the strip from pulling at a 90 instead of 45.
