If you have a manual then you don't have the resonator. The X-pipe you bought replaces your stock H-pipe and a muffler delete is a muffler delete

Yes, an H-pipe does not scavenge the same way an X-pipe does, or rather an H-pipe doesn't scavenge at all

If you already have the 2.5" x-pipe (like it says in post #1), then you will be replacing your h-pipe unless you return it.

... no real reason to change it unless you are trying to slightly change the sound. Some people think the h-pipe actually sounds better. There isn't a HUGE difference untill you change the headers or the mufflers.

However, if you decide to pay a shop to install the x-pipe, let the muffler shop do the thinking.... thats what you are paying them for. But don't pay more than $100. You can install it on some jackstands in less than an hour if you have a sawzall (and if the x-pipe came with clamps).

When i installed my Xpipe with clamps it wasn't rigid enough and continued to rattle and leak. I went to my muffler guy and he welded it for me for $20. I had an Auto so I did have the resonator and got rid of 20 lbs or so and the sound was awesome. The Xpipe makes a difference in sound.
