Need your advise on my top - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a 2011 Convertible and I have been reading this forum and now see that i am having the same issues with my top. I have the rub marks, but can you all take a look at the wrinkle on the top and then there is a space between my top and the back side just behind the rear window. Is that supposed to be like that? Or is that the dreaded 5th bow issue? My build date is 5/11 if that is what the date means on the door sticker. So now i am reading that we might get a letter for the TSB on the rub marks? is that the only issue that will be addressed in the letter? Here are my pics. Thanks for any input you can give me. I have had my car since late January. I have downloaded the TSB PDFs from this site as well. All of you have been a wealth of info!!

I had that wrinkle, but it went away. No joke, I thought it was strange but it was gone the next time I went to look for it. Make sure you are on the Facebook page for Convertible problems. We have got to keep the pressure on GM to fix these rub marks. The good news is it appears you do not have a hole yet. That one picture of the wear between the 1 and 2nd Bow will most likely turn into a hole.

I got it documented and am wait for a real fix. Others have gotten there top replaced and have had more problems from it.

I'm on my second car. Yes, you have the rub marks and should join the facebook site.

I have the wrinkles in that you show in your 2nd picture. Dealer investigated, opened a case with GM and were told not to touch it. It looks crappy but it's not a functional deficiency so I'll let it go for a bit before I push the issue. Hopefully they go away as the second poster here stated happened to him.

Thanks I feel better about the wrinkle. Any thoughts on the gap showing in the third pic?

Is it the Chevy Camaro Facebook page?

If your 5th bow goes, you will see the round rubber seal that's below the rear window pull up and you'll be able to see it.

that is not happening yet! thank goodness.

Anyone out there form the California Bay Area that has had the TSB done on the rub marks? I'm a little nervous about going to my dealer.

The gap was disconcerting to me as well, but it's on all the verts and is normal (of course can't say there wasn't a better way to design it...).
