Detroit Gen 5 club impromptu evening on Woodward
Thruout the day today the members of the DG5CC was discussing on their own website maybe meeting up later for some cruising time. Turns out we pulled off a 20 member meet and cruise on WOODWARD. Our latest member to the club made it out there too.

SCOTT SETTLEMIRE, ................he brought along his ZL1 too......... ........Bro Zeke

We made a trip around on Woodward and back again for some more meet and greet time with new members.

Scott I just noticed "Bro Zeke" is wearing Pirelli sneakers and not the standard issue Goodyear's. Is that something you guys are trying for the future or just trying to keep the Goodyear rubber for the production cars.

Good catch!

We've put Pirelli ice and snow tires on the CTF fleet in Michigan - - remember, while we've had incredible weather, these cars have been on the road in the dead of winter - we'll put the Goodyears back on them in May....

Let me assure you that "Brother Ezekiel" went thru a snowstorm in February and got me to Detroit Metro Airport with no problems!

Why does the ZL1 have a leather steering wheel? I thought all Z's had the suede wheel.

Nice pics, nice thread! Glad to see Scott is back out and about and feeling good! Hope we'll have a nice contingent when the Hot Rod Power Tour comes to Detroit. I'd love to see some of you all there. I know at least myself and one other local ACE5 member are coming.

Yeah it was very last minute thing. Some of us knew we were heading out at some point. A few of us talked about 7 pm. on the website. So an email was sent out to inform all that it was on for 7 pm. Maybe next time.

It was a great event turnout, I was glad that I decided to make it there from my Baby Shower. It is even cooler that my car made it into the image on the front page too!!!!
