Kansas City Orders
Who has ordered from what dealers in the KC area? and were you given prices? I ordered from a high volume dealer and placed the order 10-13-09, in talking to the dealer saturday I am still at 1100, this is by dealer choice, apparantly the dealer is picking and choosing which cars to order, they have has 3 delivered and are selling to anyone willing to pay 4k over MSRP, (The dealer said they are scheduled to get around 5 cars per month)I am a GM employee so until demand slows down they will get my car on the way for 2k over GMS.

I have 5 orders in my overall group of orders that are GMS and 1 Supplier. They are going in the same order as they were taken. Our Camaro reveal will be tonight at 6:30 if you are interested.

I ordered from Morse Chevrolet at MSRP in Feb. I am at 2030 last time I checked. As far as I know the cars are coming in the order that we contacted the dealer.

I also think that the dealers are ordering them according to the sign up date. However, there may be a limit on the SS's being distributed and therefore the V6's will POSSIBLY jump forward. I doubt it though. When I ordered mine from Superior Chevy I had done a lot of research online (built it myself on the website) so I knew how much everything costs when we put it together. However, a few of the prices were slightly off from the ones on the internet. Other than buying it straight off the lot it should cost roughly what it would if you built it on the computer. I believe there is a $400 dealer 'fee' of some sort that they tack on later.

Mine will be a 2LT auto...I thought about learning a stick but I like to have both hands free (though I'd still like to learn some day). It's my primary car and I travel a lot. I'm not sure if I have this # you are talking about, however I talk to them almost every week so I'll have to ask. As far as I'm concerned I'm ordering the week of Aug 20th, and it should be coming in mid to late September. It sure as hell better not take 5 months or I will be going somewhere else.

Yeah i'm gonna call them here in the next day or so. Oh another thing jschuler did they make you do a $1000 deposit. That's what really peeves me is if they took my order and and my 1000 bucks and haven't even sent it in to gm yet.

I ordered my 1LT Auto from Superior back in Mid June, got my 1100 the next week, but was told the actual allocation of the order isn't going to be in til late this month and wont receive the car til November/December.
Edit: Just more info: They did take and cash my 1000 back in June when they sent the order up to GM, but before the order was "locked in" ie: 2000. Edit: Just spoke to Superior and they said they have just done #16 and I'm #40 so it is still a ways off and can't even give me a delivery estimate anymore... :-\ Let me know what they tell you guys when you talk to them. Hm. That's a little bit disturbing. Maybe it's because i ordered an LT instead of an SS? Then Morias shouldn't be too far behind me depending on when when in June you signed up. They told me that the V8 production MAY be slowing down a little bit which could affect my order.....however, they've been telling me earlier and earlier each time. As far as I'm concerned they better keep a fairly accurate time frame once my order is locked in. Yes I had to put down $1000. This was before I discovered that other dealers have required $500 or nothing...but I figured that the $1000 will go towards the car anyways. I signed up June 5th, will be ordering the week of Aug 20th (estimated by Marvin at Superior), and should receive it sometime late September. Spectre, let me know what they say when you call them...?

I put my deposit down at Superior in mid May. At the time, the salesmanager told me to expect a Sept. or Oct. delivery. We were contacted a week or two ago and told that our order is being sent with the next allocation. I hope to find out out TPW soon. I have had several messagaes back and forth with Marvin and have found him to be very honest. I think if they are going to err it will be on the long side, that way people are not calling up all upset because their car is 3 weeks behind schedule. Be patient....You could have gone to another dealer, maybe even have gotten your car sooner, or maybe it would have been sold out from under you to a guy willing to pay extra $$$...

I think it'll be fine and they are being up front about it. I wasn't really worried until I saw those last few posts, but I suppose each car will be different. Mine should be ordered on the next allocation too...

Sweet looking camaro Jett! Glad you got it in :-D.
Just spoke to my sales rep at Superior, and he said that #33 just got a build date and I'm #40 and he estimated that in October is when mine will get picked up by production. Hopefully I don't need to wait that long, but oh well, I'll get there eventually. lol. I placed my order on June 13th so with 1 week difference between myself and jschuler looks like there is at least a month's worth of orders between us. Hopefully yours goes in soon! They quoted me November as my delivery month so it looks like, w/ the way production is going, that they will be spot on if my order is picked up in October. |

Yeah superior told me nothing. First when I asked about the workbench order number he said that no one has ever asked for it before, but that he would look it up and let me know. Then later in the conversation he said that it wouldn't be available till gm picks up my order. WTH. So I told him what I think of the trade-in value they gave my old car, and that I as trying to sell it myself. Another WTH, its a 2006 Scion tC with only 38,000 miles and they were only gonna give me about $8500 for it that was way to little. But I was told one and a half to two months till mine goes into production, thats between October 1 and about October 13 wouldn't it be. I dont know but like ive said more time to add to my down payment.

The sales rep did mention that some of the lower numbers were still waiting on build allocations as well. Like #33 had gone to production while 31 and 32 were still waiting on production. So who knows...
If I have to wait til October for mine to go in, then i guess that gives me about 2 more months to decide on whether I want auto or manual....or if I want to pay the extra money for RS. lol |

Canceling my order, wonder if I can. I called earlier today to see if they would let me, and asked about getting a refund on my deposit. I have not heard back from them. They will prolly say I can cancel it, but will keep my deposit. I don't think they should since its still 1100 preliminary order, and Gm hasn't accepted it yet. Plus not all places required a deposit, so whats the big deal. I just don't know. All I do know is that my local dealership has an allotment slot available for me and a turn around time of 6-8 weeks. Any ideas.

Superior should give you the money back, but probably play the have to get it from gm in 6-10 weeks game. They told me a number of times just so long as your order isn't in 2000 I can make any changes inluding cancel and they will refund the 1000. But after gm picks it up for production I lose the 1000. If you can get the car sooner and afford the risk of the 1000 deposit id say go for the sooner delivery date so you have time to drive some before winter. Lol
