Why are you canceling your order? What exactly has Superior done to deserve this much distrust???? I ordered mine in May...put down my $1000. I just got moved from 1100 to 3000 over the course of the last 2 weeks. My TPW is the week of August 24...I should have my car by Mid-September, just like they told me when I ordered my car..In May...

Superior has sold a lot more Camaros than you have ordered...I think they know what they are doing by now. Just relax, they told you 5 months from the get go. If you cancel at Superior, where are you gonna order from??

For me it isn't so much that I distrust them that is causing me to be concerned. It's more that I've been getting different answers out of the reps. I personally was told wheni ordered the car would be locked in in august with a delivery date in November, but now I'm told the order isn't going to be locked in til atleast October with an unknown delivery date. I'm just guessing it is still nov/dec based on 2000 to delivery timeframes from other people. Personally I will keep my order w superior cause I'm in no rush to get the car. But if someone else finds a pace that has allocations available Nd wants to switch dealers that's their call cause it is their money going into the car. I'm just worried cause one rep told me they are on #16 and then two days later another said they were on #33.

Perhap they were talking about different stages of the process? I believe I was in the low 20's when I ordered, so it could be that they are expecting #16 to be delivered soon, and they are getting ready to finalize orders up to #33??? Like I said, I ordered in May, just finalized my order (made my deposit non-refundable) two weeks ago...barring a stop at QC which is beyond the dealers control, I should have my car in about 4 weeks...You're right, it's their money. But I see it like jumping out of the cash register line at the grocery store to go to a shorter line. You still don't know that what your getting is any better??? Maybe the line is shorter, because the checker is REALLY slow and no one else wants to be in their line....Maybe the sacker will put your canned goods on top of your eggs and bread???? I think Superior is ordering over 33 camaros for a reason, I think other dealers have open allocations for a reason....I went with Superior mainly because I will use them for service after the sale....Do what you like, I just didn't understand all the mistrust after only two weeks....

Just being told one thing then not 5 min later being told another. By the same guy. I am also kinda worried about getting the car at the beginning or middle of winter, especially since the rs tires are only summer tires. Ill prolly stick with them, I just wish i checked my local dealer first. My stupidity.

I don't think there is much of any allocation difference in the KC area. I talked to Superior but decided to go with Morse who is not that far away from me though. They both roughly gave the same time frame. ~4-5 months

Dang it, now ive got two different dealers with open orders for me. They tell me that if superior says I cant have my deposit back that they are flat-out lying. What do I do, stay true to the order I started or try and flip out.

If you haven't locked down your order yet then they have to return your deposit.

I had great service and experience with Roberts in Platte City. I ordered mine June 19th and took delivery August 21 after I got back from a 5 day vacation. They didn't make me put down a dime and I get my supplier discount with absolutely no hassle. John Roberts and his guys up there went the extra mile taking care of me...they even took pictures of the car for me after it got off the car carrier and into the bay. (wanted some on the carrier, but it was raining so hard they couldn't get the pictures) If you all have any concerns with Superior or others, give these guys a shot I think you will be pleased.

Late July I ordered a 2LT/RS Rally Yellow, gray interior, automatic, from Morse Chevrolet in Overland Park. With a deposit of $500.

Unfortunately I am unable to take possession. Reason being I am buying a ring for the girl quite a bit sooner than I thought and all the expenses next year that will come with it. Will be just a bit much.

Anyway, is there anyway a dealer would let me give my position to another person?

I am looking to recover my deposit, so if anyone wants my spot let me know. Or knows of someone who wouldn't mind waiting until late Oct/Nov timeframe to get the vehcile. Thanks.

Derek

I ordered a 2SS IOM from Red-X Motors in Cameron Mo in Apr and received it Aug 14. Great working with them, so if you don't mind a little drive, give them a call. Worked with Eric Way. Not sure what the wait would be now, but might be worth a try.

Ever since I switched from superior to ed bozarth my order has speed into production. So much for bigger city = faster arrival.

Kansas City Camaro meet: OFFICIAL PLAN

Ok, I finally got all of this together and organized and have received permission for where we are parking and reservations for where we are eating.

Date: Saturday, October 17th.

Arrival time: between 4:30-5:00pm. You can really arrive whenever but we can line up the cars nicely if we arrive together.

Place: We are parking our cars at Nebraska Furniture Mart in the Legends Village West Shopping Center.

Nebraska Furniture Mart
1601 Village West Parkway
Kansas City, KS 66111

We won’t have ‘reserved’ space, however the farthest spaces from the entrance are usually empty (this parking lot is gigantic). I’m thinking the best place to line up our cars is the far corner of the Nebraska Furniture Mart parking lot, near the Longhorn Steakhouse. Just find the camaros

For those who are interested I have made reservations for a large group to eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Didn’t want to show up with a huge group on a Saturday night and have to wait two hours…we can just walk there from our parking spots.

Reservation is for 6pm.
Cheeseburger in Paradise
1705 Village West Parkway
Kansas City, KS 66111

If you’ve never been to the Village West Shopping Center and you are driving far, you may want to consider going up there early to shop and walk around (and then join us in the NFM parking lot). You can also eat wherever you want, but I would like to know who will be joining us so I can call with a better estimate.

I will send out personal messages too to everyone who has responded. I estimate at least 20 camaros….and I can’t wait!
