I have a AIRAID and it's really good, it gave a good noticeable boost on power, and even more noticeable on MPG.
I had long tubes put in before the CAI. When my 2010 SS was stock it made about 23.5MPG going 60MPH, after I put the long tubes it dropped to 21MPG, and with the CAI it went up to 27.5MPG.
The power wise, you don't feel that much of a push back to the seat when you floor it, but you do notice that the RPM raises a bit faster. 2nd gear feels almost like 1st when going up, that's how much of a difference I noticed...

Since Vararam hasn't come out with one for the 2012 yet, Cold Air Inductions (CAI) or Halltech Yellowjacket would both be good choices. Roto-Fab is probably another good choice, but I've not tried that one.

We recommend CAI or Roto-Fab. Both are good performaners and we've had nothing but satisfied customers.

The fit and finIsh of my halltech yellow jacket is pretty sad. I'm almost ashamed to open my hood and how people. I would grap a CAI right now but just going to wait since I'm going turbo.

I like the Halltech. not fitment issues, same power as CAI and less $ but obviously not the same look or quality. Scoop works well also

if you want to spend under 300 i would go with K&N, you can find them brand new on eBay for about 250-300. whatever intake you go with you will like, i have the vararam and i love that. my best friend has the K&N on his and i like it just the same. the best thing about putting on the CAI is the throttle response in my opinion.

i think the vararam is the only intake were you can by a tune or no tune model, K&N doesn't require a tune

I wanted to go with the vararam but it doesn't fit the 2012 camaros. I'm hearing good things about CAI

The Cold air Inductions does not require a tune, but you can see bigger improvement with a tune.

Top notch but you pay for the added extras.

Sounds fair.

Sounds like our fan base has already answered most of your questions, HAHA. If you need any further assistance feel free to let me know, I am always happy to help. Also, here a little more information for you:

Cold Air Inductions, Inc. intake systems benefits:

: Tig welded aluminum air box (high luster finish reflects radiant heat)

: Insulated air box (this adding another layer of thermal (convection) protection)

: Aluminum lid with stainless steel ¼ turn fasteners (fast filter removal)

: Viewing window for fast easy filter inspection.

: High Luster ceramic coated intake tube (coated inside and out, yet another layer of thermal protection)

: Smooth bore (88.9 mm) intake tube construction (this minimizes bends and restrictions within the system)

: 8” V-stack air filter with built in velocity stack (helps reduce turbulence for truer MAF reading)

: 8 layer air filter (maximizing filtration for prolonged engine life

: LIFETIME WARRANTY

We have sold thousands of intakes, have thousands of happy customers, and incorporate design features that make our system a true Cold Air Intake. We see great #’s on the Dyno as well as the track, and can keep our intake temps within 2 degrees of ambient air due to our design features.

Check out these links as well:

Mikey dont do K&N had it in my past beamer sucks. I'm soon to order the CAI induction. Seems to be the most raved about on here and Bill broke down the origins of it for me. I would suggest that particular one.
