The 1-800 # works!

I just finished talking to the representative (the hold wasn't that long) and she said my camaro has been built and is in transit!! All I did was give her my order number and the name of my dealership. She called my dealer, but the department doesn't open til' 9:30. So she called some other internal department and that's where she got her info. from. I asked her for a VIN #, but she said she would call my dealership and talk to them and she would call me back. I'm so excited! I ordered a LS in SIM.

Why not just call your dealership? Cut out the middle man. (or middle-lady).

well i do call him, but i don't want to bother him 24/7. So i was just like, why not try this #. But, I'm going to go check at my dealer later on today.

So instead of you bothering them you're going to get a GM rep to do it for you? This can't make your dealer happy.

How many times do you call your dealer?

You said you just got off the phone with the GM rep...who called your dealer...and you're going to call your dealer later today.

Is this a daily occurrence? If so, I can see why they'd feel like you were bothering them.

Hehe, my dealer friend requested me on Facebook. That's how I get my status... It doesn't really feel like "bothering" if he friend-requested me.

A good alternative if your salesman will only answer you with "I don't know" or won't return your calls for 2 weeks though. My saleman magically knew everything after that!

Also mention to the person on the 1-800 number that your salesman has been avoiding you and you aren't happy with the service.

Now my calls always get returned

( I wasn't calling in every day, just hadn't heard from him in a month and a half. Woulda been nice if he woulda told me I went from 1100 to 3000 2 weeks before I called the 1-800 #)

i called them 2 weeks ago and they told me the same thing, it was out of quality control hold and on the train... turns out they didn't know what they were talking about, do not get your hopes up with the 1800 number reps..

what is the 800 number? I am curious to call and just check status on my car. I ordered April 9 but my dealership says that our order has not been picked up but gave us a production date of May 4 but when we ask questions they never know and never have an answer.

I also called the 800 number, and the lady i talked to only needed to get ahold of my dealer once, to ask what the order number was. now she calls me every wendsday and gives me an update, i dont even need to call anyone anymore! maybe i just got lucky and landed an awesome service rep., but she doesnt ever bother the dealer and i still get my information weekly

This is a big issue for me. I am paying close to $40k for a car in the worst possible economic time in the last 20 years.

They should be providing me with a status daily if I request it.

Holy crap. Maybe I should start calling my dealer more. I've called him once to ask him if the unveil is the 5th or 6th. That's only because he called me on the way to Scotts and asked me to come to the event.

I don't beleive calling him will get my car here any faster. Besides, I have never wanted to know what the gift is until the day of so It will be more of a surprise. I've kind of made a game out of it.

If you ordered in April I would'nt bother your dealer till June at least. and don't bother calling the 800 number if you don't have a order # and if they told you May 4th. wish you luck. what code are you at....

FYI the 1800# You guys are calling, are not actual GM employees they represent Gm, which basically means they are A call center! Every time I CallI get conflicting stories! One Time They say my car Is In transit and the next time It's still In quality control! IMO they really don't know what Is Going On.

I totally have an order number and according to my husband he checked with the dealer which happens to be where he works and they told him we were at 3400, which is why I thought it might be worth checking into. I am just soooo excited for this car. I definitely think it will be worth the wait. Just super anxious like everyone else.

Called for Barbara and got her voicemail. Called back and got someone that sounded exactly like her! Asked her about my status and she immediately asks for my dealer's company name and said she would call them and report back to me. Hell, anybody can call their dealer and ask. The whole point of calling the GM rep a.k.a. call center was to see if they had more info. on my order than my dealer.

If I'm smart enough to call the 800 # then I'm sure as hell smart enough to bug my dealer. This is the 3rd time I've called the 800 # and nothing yet has changed about it. This 800 is pointless.....period.

MY dealer said there would be no update until it's built. Gee should I be curious about that since alot of you know way more than that. I pass the place all the time, sons got football practice right across the road from the dealer. I really don't see enough traffic for them to be overwhelmed enough to just give out a little info.I'll bet it's been along time since anyones been this excited over a car. If I could simply get one more look at the work bench I'd be happy. Besides if it's not built and delivered by the first I'll just figure I'm not getting it and look forward to football season!
