Great job. What kind of insulation will you be doing to the headers? Coating, wrap, both?

Love all the custom work you are doing on your car. There aren't many twin turbo builds out there, but yours is def unique. I wish I had the money to do a custom setup. All of your work looks like top notch!
Some people are saying "it'll blow up" but just get the tuning done and enjoy your build!

These manifolds are made to fit a set of S300 Borg Warner turbos. They are a large frame turbo I do not recommend trying to fit in this engine bay. An eqivelent in a Garrett would be a better fit. IE 2 GT4094 or T4 GT35. There is too much modification needed to make this combo fit effectively and for me to sell in the market as a "kit". I know it would come back to haunt me. ABS/Fuel lines/fuse box/AC/brake lines/ECU/PS reservoir/pump all had to be moved or altered to make it work. The turbos don't fit by the bell housing either, and I'm not fan of remote mount.
Borg sponsored the turbos, so lets give it a rip. I'll be doing a second kit that will be much more executable in your home garage on a relatively stock car. Headers of this nature in 321 stainless usually start at $1600-1800 per bank from me. Im not here to push header sales. I couldn't find a local M16 extention fitting for the oil feed on the turbos, or get one shipped in a resonable time frame, so I made one. Two unions lathed down and welded to fit -4 outlet. ![]()

HKS Filters came in and I got some great fittment done on the recirculating dump tubes... I would have liked to get the dump entry down stream further though.

First I'd like to say your work is amazing. It looks fantastic.
I do have a question though, about the proper functionality... I've recently had a front mount turbo installed on my 2010 Camaro and have firsthand experience of how hot the headers get as they come forward in the engine bay... looking that the photos you've provided it appears that the headers actually reach a point higher in the engine bay than the intake manifold which would put them within an inch or so of the top of the hood when its closed. Arent you a little concerned about the heat causing damage to the hood? Or at least discoloring the paint/causing the paint to flake off? Or do you intend on installing vents into thd hood at those high points? Just curious how you’re handling the heat up there. Thanks Craig

Thanks to all...
I work for a Vibrant Performance, we carry a heat sheilding line that is a multi layer heat protective sheild. I will be riveting it to areas of the hood to deflect heat and protect the hood. Theres close to 2.5" of space at the tightest point, this should be good enough for our 600F or 1400F rated sheilding to do its job in this application. I'll either keep it flat or make it chanelled to surround the manifolds while the hood is closed... also protecting the coils.

I've never had a problem with the filters... we'll have to see I guess. All I have left to do is clutch (triple disc Exedy), brake lines, AC lines, and exhaust. I'll get up some more pics soon. I"ve been a bit delayed due to some other design projects.

Update
Here is the car as it stands at PRI this w/e. Now with a 7.1 ltr and just over 1000hp. I had to stop progress due to time line and other projects at Vibrant Performance. The car was brought to this stage at Katech Performance. They have done a great job - hats off to them, this was a tight fit. I wish I was given the time to give it this detail. ![]()
