new parts installed, with GM trans fluids, "removing the RP Syncromesh" and low and behold it does shift better surely less notchyness from 1 -2, it also floats in to 4th when the skip shift kicks it never ever did that before I was actually supprised, I did jump on it a bit but not a hard pull in to 2nd, but it was a lot better than it was.

June 25th to Jannetty Racing for my other parts, including a Jerry's Master Cylinder..

So I get to drive the car a bit more, I have had it back a few hours but not out on a long drive and time to play hard. so the jury is still out on the replacement parts in the trans for a hard pull 1 - 2 shift IMPO..

Just installed mine. Clutch pedal not sinking anymore and engages higher like it's supposed to. Will test the 1-2 shift on the way home. Installing a remote resevoir tomorrow...will post pics.

My car is going to the dealer in 2 weeks to have the clutch pedal assembly changed out and a new clutch installed. If my pedal still sticks and/or grinds 2nd I'll definitely be giving you a call for a master cylinder.

Got up this AM and the clutch pedal did not drop at all...has great pressure feel to it. I am installing a clutch resevoir today and a clutch pedal stop. Will post pics when done. I would highly recommend this master cylinder to anyone with a "stick" car.

Here's a picture of the pedal stop I'm using. I found it on the Corvette forums a couple of years ago. Works great. Sorry about the blurry picture.

Very interested in the clutch stop! Will this make the 2nd gear grind worse, I wanted to build my own to speed up my shifts... I need some help there I was thinking it might even help with the grind issue.

Since installing the new master cylinder...no issues with 1-2 shifts. I tried to find the supplier for the pedal stop and had no luck, but shouldn't be to hard to mock something up.

Has is help with shifting speed? Funny thing is because of the 2nd gear issue... thats my slowest shift! I wait untill I feel the car go into gear before I let the clutch go! My 2-3 shift is fast because I never have a issue, so bang that shift pretty fast.

Definitely helps with speed shifting...although my car is mostly set up for road course, it aids heavily with heel/tow downshifting/rev matching.

Think a little air popped up in the system last night...pedal felt good initially this AM, but about the 3rd time I pressed the clutch pedal it sunk...had to drop into neutral and pump the pedal several times to get it to come back. Don't think it's an issue at all with the master cylinder...just some air. Will know as soon as I get a chance to put the extra resevoir in and re-bleed. Hopefully today.

It's not needed unless you race the car frequently. There is a pedal stop built into the the pedal assy now But i don't think the pedal hits it.
The master cylinder bottoms out first and stops the pedal, so your pedal stop adjusted properly will save the master cylinder over time especially for poeple who race and are hard on the pedal.

Ok cool. I've been using one for a couple years on my 99 Vette that I use for open track events. Just figured since I had an extra one, I'd try it on the Camaro since the clutch pedal travel is so long. Definitely helps for quicker shifts. Just wasn't sure if that was having any adverse effect on the fluid travel from the master cylinder. I have it set about a 1/2" past the engagement point.

For some people it will be trial and error. if it still ground a gear you would just have to adjust the stop again so the pedal would travel further. I know you know what your doing so i know you understand my point.

The way I've modified the cylinder you want it to travel all the way to get the most out of it. using the pedal stop so the master doesn't bottom out when your hard on the pedal is a good thing. I don't know why GM made it so the master cylinder stops the pedal. I beat the hell out of my car and I haven't broke it yet so I guess they are pretty strong
