Also what stainless steel line are people getting?

Any answers are appreciated.

More Detailed Install Instructions

I am a neophyte when it comes to working on my Gen5 SS but I like to try to do things. I watched the two IdealG install videos but they are very limited in scope and detail:
IdealG installation video part 1:http://youtu.be/l8vacHyCInw
IdealG installation video part 2: http://youtu.be/txlMf92EX4k

I like the write up that TICK did for their clutch line:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165176

While videos are good, better for me and I think many others is if IdealG could please redo the installation write up with more details and photos it would encourage lots of us to buy your product.

Received my upgraded clutch master cylinder yesterday. Once installed I will see how it works. Also going to install the GTO clutch reservoir.
By others results I'm pretty sure it will fix that annoying second gear grind.

There's not much more of a video i can offer you. It's pretty much common sense here. It's one clip to remove the hydraulic line , one clamp to remove the hose from the reservoir to the master cylinder and then two bolts holding it in the pedal assy under the dash. If you can do it with the videos i provided then you should be doing it at all.

What exactly do you need help with? maybe i could better help you if you tell me what your unsure about.

The only improvement I could see would be to have clear pictures of the assembly that people are looking at from under the dash emphasizing the mount location and what they will see from under the hood.

Although its a pretty straight forward replacement the only issue I had was getting all the air out of the line/cylinder. Which is just tedious because of the location of the bleeder valve.

was619 quoted above, expressed what I was looking for in addition photos of what the clutch bleeder line actually looks like so when I get under there I know exactly what I am looking for. I appreciate anything you could do for us novices.

Ok I got my dad bringing his video camera in so later i'll try to do a video and show you the pedal assy, and underneath the car where the bleeder is.

Update: I can't do the video until my dad gets power back. Hurricane screwed us all up I have power here at shop but he has none at home. He needs to do the transfer and editing of the vids. I'll get you guys something as soon as i can.

New Throw out Bearing

Hey guys,

I was just talking to JDP Motorsports. I want to inform you guys that they sell a bigger and better throw out bearing for your Slave Cylinders.
They are going to post a pic for us. A lot of us will benefit from this So I wanted to bring it up and let them show it to you.

Thanks

So today I just sat through 2 hours of nothing but stop and go traffic and the clutch never got spongy or chattery like it did originally. It worked flawlessly

Right on....I can't wait. Soooo sad to have this engine and can't even remotely use it yet. Tranny is getting freshened up with all new carbon and bronze goodness. I'm going to try Ticks remote speedbleeder and SS line as well while its out. Hope to have the bases covered so I can finally enjoy shifting above 5k rpms. I WILL keep you updated, and thanks again for the R&D on a much needed product.

Installed my modified clutch master cylinder and Tick stainless braided clutch line with synthetic brake fluid Wednesday. The hardest part was laying on my back with the hump from the door sill sticking in my back while i switched out master cylinders.

The only other issue i had was installing the braided clutch line to the transmission because when my GF pumped the pedal it was spewing fluid at the connection. I had to reuse the o-ring from the stock clutch line because the Tick clutch line didn't have an o-ring.

Pretty strait forward installation. Even the bleeding of the system was pretty much simple. Letting fluid flow thru the clutch line before installing it to the transmission made the bleeding of air from the system much faster.

Thanks IDEALG for your master cylinder and videos.

In this thread it's been mentioned to change out the clutch fluid with Redline or Royal Purple. Is this regular Dot 3/4 or do they sell synthetic fluid? If so who sells it?
