Well I was a bit inspired by all the talk about the ZL1 QC hold "maybe" being compete plus a potential announcement at the end of the week. So I went by the oshawa plant today on my way home from work and saw the following................

Also saw actual ZL1's coming off the line......

The red ZL1 was outside the cage and had snows on it but did not have a CTF sticker.........

^^^ my thought too...but more about why does it have a front plate...doesn't that mean it's registered to an owner?

I don't see a back plate on though

The red ZL1 had a rear plate as well; some lucky individual is driving around with it............

Heres some more vert pic's; Ill try and stop by when its nicer out to get a good shot of the paint........

Is that CRT or RJT? It is hard to tell in the overcast and pics.

As far as I'm aware there will be no ZL1's in the red jewel
color, it must be a crystal red just dark looking due to
the cloudy conditions of the day. Plus the crystal red is
is very similar to the red jewel but just a shade or two
lighter. Have to see them side to side on a sunny day to
see the difference.

I would think the vert has to be a ctf. I was not aware they were producing MY 2013 now. lol

Were all the 400+ cars still in the same area or does it appear as though they have been moved around with some signs that they got whatever the problem was "fixed"?

The caged in area where the vert was parked had ZL1's there last weekend with "QC Hold" signs in the front wind shields. There were about 6 other ZL1's parked in with the vert today without "QC Hold" signs....

Just down the road (park road for anyone who is familiar with Oshawa) there were lines of european SS's along with about a dozen NEW ZL1's coming right off the line

The holding area (on Stevenson) has a lot full of ZL1's......

Im not a camaro production expert, but there was strong evidence today that production is back up and running...........

That has to belong to somebody quite important at Chevy Inc. My heart goes out for all the "ZL1 owners to be" who have waited so long for their coupes to arrive, it just doesn't seem fair that someone in Canada is driving arouhd with a convertible that is not even supposed to be available till this summer!

No production for Camaro this week guys ... scheduled down week , so nothing is rolling off the line . Everything starts back up Monday morning at 6:30

( don't ask me about ZL1 start-up ...i don't have that info ! )

Thanks GoMax, those are the first pictures that I have seen of a Crystal Red ZL1. Red Jewel was dropped for 2012 and replaced with Crystal Red. The ZL1 Vert has to be a CTF car since ZL1 Convertible production will not start up until after June sometime. If you happen to see a CRT ZL1 with polished wheels, exposed CF hood and sunroof, please take some pictures for me, it might be mine. It should be easy to spot, it will be the one trying to escape the frozen tundra and trying to get to sunny South FLorida.
