Sorry bada, I don't think GM owes you anything. You have the option of not buying or buying. The choice is yours. Sure curiosity is normal and wanting to know the reason but if GM wants to let you know fine but they don't OWE you anything.

Chevrolet is pleased to announce the current quality assessment on the 2012 Camaro ZL1 has been completed. The 2012 Camaro ZL1 models that were on hold at Oshawa are now available to be shipped to dealers. 2012 Camaro ZL1 production which was suspended is expected to resume by mid-April, 2012.

Chevrolet is currently evaluating the remaining 2012 Camaro ZL1 production to determine the impact on the Estimated Production Guide Number that was provided to each dealer late last year. Your District Sales Manager will be providing you an update on your Estimated Production Guide within two weeks.

When production resumes, the 2012 Camaro ZL1’s standard black painted carbon fiber hood insert will continue to experience constrained availability. To alleviate the issue, all Camaro ZL1’s produced with the optional exposed carbon fiber weave hood insert (RPO: B92) for the 2012 will receive a $600 MSRP option package discount. The $600 MSRP discount will essentially eliminate the $600 MSRP charge for this option. Only those 2012 Camaro ZL1’s produced with RPO: B92 will receive the discount.

We thank everyone involved for their patience during this assessment process, and look forward to the first deliveries of the 2012 Camaro ZL1 to consumers in the coming weeks.

You can't really depend on the radio unless you want your first song in your ZL1 to be "Adele-Set fire to the rain" although that song does get me going sometimes...

I think I'm going to have to make a "ZL1 Music" folder... Mainly rock and a few enrique iglesis songs to win over any pretty ladies that I pick up on the way home from the dealer....

I am in the same boat as some of you guys. I leave town for work on the 4th of April and won't get back until the 18th. I kinda really wanted to be there the day I arrived, but I guess if it gets there while I'm away I will get to drive the hell ou of it for the two weeks I'm home anyhow! I beg to disagree. I have owned, over 100 GMs in my day. Have always been a gm loyal customer. I even race a Gm powered truck. But when a company covers up, or want answer a question. That I think all of us loyal GM guys, want to know the answer too!!! I believe THEY OWE US THAT!!!! If they don't, let us know, what the hold up was. I may no longer be, such a loyal GM fan going foward. And as you SAID. I have that option. Anyone that sells a product. If the product has a problem, The company producing said product, Needs to let the comsumer know, about the problem!!! What they did to correct, the problem, and then let US, make up our own minds. Seriously? Well, the new electric power steering pump was overheating which caused a chip in the BCM to fail and that made the traction conrtol system activate randomly, so the car needed a software upgrade...

Hewlett is where I purchased mine. Number three of four there. The first one is in route, the second allocation has been pulled. Hopefully my allocation will get pulled in the next few weeks. Crystal Red, black stripe, black wheels, M6.
