whats the difference between a axel back and a cat back exhaust?

I am looking for an axel-back ONLY for my 2010 2SS/RS manual.

I want one that has THE LEAST DAMAGE to the OEM/STOCK exhaust, as I might have to sell my car soon. NO JOB. I just HAVE TO HEAR IT the way it should have been built.

I don't mind if its kind of loud.

PLEASE give me YOUR OPINION. I have no idea.

I have been searching here and Youtube, but don't know WTF to do ?????

Whats the deal with the GMPP Track Pack? Is this special? I havent seen any videos with it yet. Will dealers still install this if you buy it? I am certainly not looking to only use it off road. Is that just said because of the sound restrictions? Thanks for the help in advance.

I just found this. It's an axle back kit from DynoMax with all stainless steel constructions. I had a DynoMax axle back kit on my 98 T/A and realy liked it. I'd like to hear this kit for our 5th Gen doing a takeoff and a drive by.

Made br Dr. Gas... Never heard of them but I think the system sounds pretty good, and the price seems pretty decent compared to a lot of others I've seen...

Of all the stuff I'm listening too, I think I've narrowed it down to either the Dynomax 39494 axle back, or this Dr.Gas system... Curious how Dynomax claims 14hp+15tq with this axle back, but Dr. Gas claims 13hp with a catback?

So I guess my big dilemma now is do I spend $397 on an axle back, $699 for a cat back, or piece my own axle back together for $200... I mean think about it... All you're getting with an axle back is mufflers, tips, and a couple pieces of pipe. You can buy it all at Summit for half the price! ..... I wish I wasn't so cheap sometimes.

it sounds very different from the ARH/stock muffler setup on the first post... guess its either the Vararam, 2 inchers, or the audio quality making the difference.

as with most exhaust vids... be careful with the volume. I dont want to be resonsible for your busted PC speakers.
