bwahahaha.... have you forgotten what site your on? LOL I am sure it will be retrofitted in no time! ... lots of members adding HUD to the 2010's, adding steeringwheel buttons to non-equipped cars, oh and adding factory back up camera.... this one can't be far behind-- Shoot, I installed factory nav from an 05 suburban into my 03...

oh, haha, not to mention those with SS/ZL1's

Anyway, thanks for the info!

Are any of those new parts a functional dashboard ABL?

Thank you for keeping us in the loop, Scott. Y'all are putting out a great product. You, the "disciples", Janet, those forum members who actually wrenched on my Camaro at the factory in Oshowa; your willingness to communicate tells me that GM does want to know what the enthusiasts want.

Will the in dash NAV have the ability to get map updates automatically or will this be one of those deals where you have to buy a new NAV DVD every year?

Personal experience here is that no one will buy a $1,000 NAV system package that does not update as well as or better than their smart phone already does for free.

With respect to forcing a choice between CD v. Nav, I'm surprised GM couldn't engineer a solution to incorporate everything into one unit like many aftermarket units do.

Also, @ fbodfather is there any way we could get statistics from these meetings u guys have. Like what's the number one asked for feature, whats the most annoying feature ect stuff like that. Basicly poll results. It would be nice to know what the majority of people think about certain things.

As far as dropping the cd player, I could care less. I can't remember the last time I bought a CD or any optical based media except for video games. Majority of music is also sold digitally.
I'm surprised most auto manufacturers still offer CD players & Sirius/XM... mp3 players & Pandora have reshaped the aftermarket, the tech is there from tier 1/OE suppliers...

XM-Sirius is pretty much all I listen too,and 90% of the time I'm listening to the NASCAR channel.
I do still play CD's once in awhile,I don't own an MP3 player or Ipod.
I do agree with the earlier post....I think CD players will go the way of the cassette player.

I'm not sure that the majority of people are ready to live life without a cd player in their cars just yet, me I'm fine with not having one, my wife on the other hand, well no cd equals no sale regardless of the car in question.

LOL!

I almost wish they would bring back tape players... I still have a ton that I wasn't able to find on CD or mp3

It will be interesting to see what technology finds its way into our cars next...

Hopefully not Siri... hate that b****, she doesn't work currently with my exhaust, could only imagine if I had a vert

Not necessarily so......I just purchased one recently - nothing on the screen....

That's a concern to us. But at some point, the CD will go the way of the 8-track and the cassette.

I was astonished about a year ago when I took my nephew with me to buy an Ipod (.......hey - stop that snickering, ok??? ) -- and found thing called a "Nano" -- amazing that you can put that many songs into such a lil bit of a thing............the only problem is that I can't SEE the darn thing half the time!!!!

You are right whether new or illegally downloaded a CD can have text formating for titles if it is enabled while burned. I can make you 30000 CDs with illegally downloaded songs and as long as text is enabled you can get the songs name

+1 O.K.! :-)

Scott & Janet - thank you for your hard work making the best cars even better!

Also will the mylink be adaptable to model years 2010 - 2012? Your passion fuels our passion for this great automobile, and that's what makes the camaro such a fantastic car (almost doesn't do it justice calling it a car though). Thank you all. It's a rarity when a manufacturer listens to their customers and reacts in this manner.
Sorry I'm late to the game here - totally agree!

The only thing I'd like to see added is an auto temp function to the heat & A/C - don't need dual control, just make the temp dial like a thermostat (i.e., 65-75-85), and add an "auto" fan & direction setting to the blower speed dial. Like the old B-body Comfortron A/C option.

But I don't think too many people care, so doubt this will go forward. :( I'm a computer programmer at heart, feedback loops are so cool!

Thanks for listening.
