Just pair your cell phone to the camaro. I do and can use hands free calling. I also use the navigation on my phone. Onstar does nothing for me. Never renewed it.

I'm thinking you'll get 6 months on the ZL1.

Well, I'll be sure to update this post when I pick mine up. I did notice on the regular Camaro page on Chevy's website that it lists every model of Camaro with 6 months of OnStar EXCEPT the ZL1.

And as I said in a previous post, I am not one to bitch, but I don't know how no one else has noticed this "supposed" typo on Chevy's website. Surely I am not the only one who's seen it before today. I also don't know why you guys are acting like I am crazy for asking the question when it's been on the website since the specs were posted. If anything it may be the one thing I can try to negotiate on this car since my price is already set.

I noticed it too, and you are not crazy. I am screen capturing it and will ask for 3 years because that is what they said it came with on their web site. Even if I never used it, what does that have to do with expecting to get what the ZL1 was advertised to include? If you never used all 580 HP would you be OK getting less?

And before you tell me they're not the same thing, I realize that but I'm trying to make a point.

Will I use OnStar for my navigation? Probably not. But that is my choice. I do use the handsfree calling quite a bit and my wife does too, so that is a feature I could use for years. I'm just trying to figure out what I should expect when I pick up my BEAST!
Ima drop onstar and only use bluetooth lol

I don't know if anyone else noticed the SiriusXM Satellite Radio trial subscription being for one year on our window sticker, but only three months on the ZL1 spec web site. Does anyone know which is right?

My 2010 came with one year if I remember correctly, but I was one of the first to get the 2010 when it came out.

Please don't expect your salesman to be able to do anything about that at all.

As far as a service like that goes - you need to contact a representative at ONSTAR - Your salesperson or even the GM of the dealership can't just flip a switch and get you 3 years of free onstar.

Everyone says they dont use onstar, but I dont think u can use the phone apps without onstar, and the apps are just too cool. Starting, unlocking, locking, checking the gas tank or w/e from your phone.

I think some ZL1's may only make 570 HP. I'd ask for a partial refund once you confirm you are one of the unlucky ones. If you are really expecting 3 years of onstar and this was a deciding factor in purchasing the car, then by all means ask away. Otherwise, accept that this is probably an error made by a company recently at the brink of financial disaster, be thankful they are still able to have a performance division to bring you a car like the ZL1, enjoy your car, and hope there aren't bigger problems than "false advertising" to be encountered down the road.

is automatic crash response always working even if you don't have an on star subscription? How much is on star after 6 months?
