question about cracked dash

i just have a question for the people that have had there dash replaced because of it cracking?? when they where finished did it make any noises that where not there before?? and did the crack come back after time??? thanks for any in put on this matter .. i have had the dealership look at mine and the new dash has been ordered and now i just have to have it put in but not sure if i want this done if it is just going to crack again..

ok dealership called and my dash is in ... would really like to hear some feed back on this before i have the dealership do the install.... ??????

I just had mine done & there are no squeeks or rattles. It looks & acts just like the original one. It took them 2 days to get it done because they took their time since they hadn't done one yet.

Modern dashes are made to be removed fairly easy and have to be for all sorts of climate & electronics issues. They are removed all the time for various reasons. Many members have removed, installed HUD and replaced in a day with no ill effect. I'd be FAR less worried about rattles than i would be various scratches on things like the steering wheel, radio , glove box, console & A pillars.

ok so my car is in the shop getting a new dash.... felt strange going to work without my car with me... but all i can do is hope that they do a great job ...
