What the hell good is it if everybody already knows the plot twist is at the end?
What's next? Remake Empire Strikes Back and we all pretend we don't know Darth Vader is Luke's father? Can't those coke-heads in Hollywood come up with anything new? Yeesh!

I'm not sure it'll be on Mars...but the general idea seems the same. I expect much of the plot might be twisted up as well, with some homages to the original movie.

Still, the original was a blockbuster, but not what I'd call an amazing film.

Unlike movies like True Grit, some movies can be remade better.

How many of you still watch old Black & White movies? Many of those ideas have moved to color and newer techniques of filming.

Total Recall was based on a book. Lots of books have different versions of movies over the years.

This is more true than u may think.

Personally the remakes don't bother me, someone's gotta do it. Plus most of the movies being remade are old enough that the people being targeted to watch it haven't even heard of the original or never saw it.

I'll go watch total recall just for the visuals.

I think I saw the original, but don't remember the plot at all. So I'll gladly go see this, haven't seen Collin Farrel in a movie in a while!

The remake of Battlestar took a bad series and made it great. It was the last series I watched until the Walking Dead.

All I can think of associated with Collin Farrel is Bullseye in Dare Devil. I know he was in other movies.....but damn that was horrible.
