If you press the channel up/down buttons on the steering wheel does it cycle through the favorites, cycle through the favorites in a given band (e.g. Fm1, fm2, etc.) or just "seek" in the current band?

I hope it goes through the favorites.

So the mustang which offers the same tech stuff is a "tech baby" not a road car?

If they put that goffy looking screen in yes....Have you seen the center stack in the GT? Looks good....as far as tech I just think this gets more attention than more hp, an exhaust you can hear etc and that gm just stuck the screen in to say they have it and it looks out of place, detracts from any form of retro and is dangerous being so low....would be nice to have a delete for the ss on this item...hope it looks better in person but the pictures look not so good...

I understand there is no voice control, ie tune to station 99.5 or air to 73 degrees....is this correct? Now if you have voice control over touch screen, redo the center stack and they are there...I guess the '14s will have a more integrated dash but no telling what they will do to the outside...

This thread is for the 13 wheels but has a shot of the dash and screen that does make it look less out of place and looks better..still low for driving though...

The reality is that this stuff needs to be added if you want the younger generation to buy the camaro. What car today doesn't integrate with your smart phone?

I do have to say I liked the 2010 retro steering wheel and I was sad to see it go, but it is what it is. Lots of reviewers ragged on that steering wheel as well as the shifter and GM responded.

The touchscreen/mylink, however, was necessary to keep up with the times and competition.

Do you think you can do a video with an iPod hooked up to the MyLink via USB? Now that CD's are no longer an option, I am curious to see what the interface will look like. My brother's new Civic will display album art when available, curious to see if this will do the same thing.

Yes I buy the phone integration, blue tooth or cable. But the touch screen still requires you to push something, be it buttons or icons you still push something. so to me no big deal, just an odd looking screen to push instead of buttons and knobs. Like I said, maybe in the 14s it will be better integrated and not look so add on..

Voice control, hud and bluetooth seem to be more with it options. Just say, More bass, less treble, text Bill, air at 72, weather today, directions to , etc......no taking eyes off road and no pushing, excuse me, touching a screen...

Here are some pictures from MyLink when you push the Now Playing icon on the home page of the display while streaming music via Bluetooth from an iPhone. As you can see, it does display the album art and info. The last pic is using the Pandora ap from the home screen. You can "thumb up" or "thumb down" the song right on the screen.

MyLink is an amazing system and after owning 3 Camaros with the old radio, I can safely now say that I prefer the MyLink system regardless of how it looks on the dash. It does everything better than the old system.

My only complaint is that it does not recognize the Microsoft Zune, which the old radio did.

Seriously? I know I'm one of like 40 people that bought the things, but I love my 80gb. Which one did you have/did you try? I'm gonna be pissed since I have so much music through my Zune pass.

I have both the original Zune and a Zune HD. I only tried the original Zune since that one seems to work better with my Camaro.

I think neither of them will work (I wish the Zune HD would though) because I heard somewhere that since they're no longer being actively produced, the support for all of these devices have been dropped. :(

But doesn't the new head unit still use the same pdim that you we already have installed. It uses the same usb port. And that goes into the pdim module and then to the head unit. So if it works now, why would it stop.

Because the programming for the new MyLink is different from the old radio. None of the MyLink radios recognize a Zune so I'm sure that's why. The PDIM is just the interface for the USB. The radio is what recognizes what you have plugged in.

No, ZHD doesn't have bluetooth. I guess we can still use the aux cable but we'll be missing out on the on screen display and controls .

I'm probably going to go with dumping all of my music onto a usb stick if there's no workaround found. Though I'm pretty sure the zune pass content won't work if you do that though. Oh, well, I'll use my phone bluetooth streaming for that I guess.

Same here, minus the lack of apps, it absolutely rapes the iPod in sound quality and design wise it's beautiful.
