Shuffle setting for USB

Hey All,

Keep a USB thumb drive plugged into the USB port in the console. In order for the stereo to shuffle the songs, I have to go into the settings and choose shuffle music every time I start the car. Have been unable to find a way to keep that setting.

Has anyone happened to find a way?

Thanks

Scooter

There was an issue with an early version on the software where it wouldn't keep the random option on when you turned off the car. This issue has since been fixed through a update. What you need to do is go to your local dealer, tell them you've been having issues with it and ask for a PDIM software update.

Not sure. I use a USB drive and don't have an ipod to test it.

YOU DO NOT want to have the dealer do a software up-date....that will NOT fix his problem. There is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) that will get you the latest Hardware and Software for your system. just the UPDATE will not do it.

i have gone through this already.....and this is the fix.

Attached below is a copy of the TSB, on the top of it is the GM P/N you will need them to order and install. print it out and you take it to your dealer and have them install the new PDIM ...... btw......this is 100 % warrantee work.
