I pulled the nuts off mine the 1st week I got it home and put anti seize on them. I knew at some point they would be coming off to change something.

Just wanted to verify before I do this mod. If I remove both front and rear cats, I will get a CEL and need tune to fix it? If I remove just the rear cats, I will not get a CEL? If I replace the front cats with 200 cell (or lower) cats, will I get a CEL?

Enjoyed reading through this thread, I just picked up the solo hfc used from a forum member. How much additional HP do you think a cat delete would gain over the hfc?

I could be wrong but I thought the LFX only had two cats before the o2 sensors. The way I saw it is a pipe from the head, a cat, then a resonator, the H connector, another resonator before the rear axle and then the mufflers. Can anyone verify if these cars have a total of two cats or four?

They have a total of four. Two big ones and two smaller ones.
So it's:
Big cat > O2 sensor > little cat > H-pipe > resonator > muffler

Here's a pic of the smaller one.
