Going to wrap my uncoated JBA longtubes before summer hits and want to throw some heat out of my engine compartment. 2"x100' anyone know where to find a steal on this?

For what it's worth, I talked to a place that sells this stuff for headers. They told me not to waste my money on it. Apparently it can cause hot spots in the headers due to not wrapping evenly and prematurely rust the headers as the wrap holds water in.

They recommended a place that does ceramic coating. It is costing $250 to do both inside and outside in the titanium ceramic coating. I'm assuming though, that you already have the headers installed? If not, I would look into ceramic. If so, as easy as they are to install/remove, I would remove them if there is a place close to you that does this.

Just my .02 worth.

I realize that header wrap causes premature wear.. and it is possible to have to replace headers eventually.

Header wrap works alot better at keeping heat down than ceramic coating.

I got mine for my bike at advance auto, they had titanium also. I sealed my normal wrap with dei silicone paint. Works well on my bike keeping heat down.

I have seen stainless headers crack in one week from header wrap on a street driven vehicle. The only thing that voids most header warrantys is header wrap. Ceramic coat the headers and you will be happy.

had plenty of ceramic coated headers and they don't heat scavenge as well as uncoated headers. Not to mention I would have to have significant downtime on the vehicle when I could do the removal header wrap and install in a day. Not worried about headers cracking thats actually pretty rare. You're more likely to see pitting and rusting after time from trapped water. but that car will belong to a new owner way before I have water trapped in a garaged sunny day driven car.
