Anyone get the new Pfadt coilovers yet?

As the title says, anyone get a set of these yet? My installer told me that some people have received some of the new coilovers for the Camaro. Pfadt is moving so can't call them right now to verify.

I am interested in the new coilovers, too. I want to swap out my Pfadt lowering springs.

Latest update a week or two ago was they're still a few months out from full production.

From my understanding there are no production units available for the new Pfadt coilovers yet ! They are in testing now on the Pfadt in-house test bed cars. They do not have a projected release date yet.

Well that's real disappointing. Poor market planning by Pfadt. We're at the start of the season and they have no coilovers available.

Once again I do not want to speak for Pfadt, but I know Blair, Aaron, Rob, Robin, Jarret, etc. all the guys (and gal!) and they would not release a product that has not been thoroughly tested. I would rather have the 110% tested product available for the market, and if I can only have the 80% tested product, I'd rather not sell it.

Perfect example we have had Powerglide/9" IRS conversion setup for 2 years now, testing, changing, testing, changing, etc. We finally released it for public sale at the end of last year, after 2++ years of R&D.

This may not be what the end-users want to hear because you want the products now, but I would rather have the PERFECT product than something that has not been tested thoroughly.

We are looking forward to Pfadt's new coilovers.

But in the mean time there's always Pedders.

We have used both brands and have been very happy with both.

Please feel free to give us with any questions.

Thanks

Any idea what the difference is between these new coil overs and Pfadt's coil overs that they've already had on the market for a while now? Just wondering if they are a vast improvement, or a marginal improvement?

They're being made in-house versus the old ones that were outsourced. Haven't seen anything that says the full specs and I doubt we will until they've finalized the production design.

I ordered from Apex back in February and I know I am as anxious to get mine as everyone else is, and it will come, I hope. I also have three other boxes of Pfadt suspension in my living room waiting for the coilovers to arrive so it can be installed all together. And I got the window sticker laying on the counter staring at me everyday.

My installer talked to Pfadt right before their move and found out those that received coil overs recently were the older sets. Still no ETA from what he was told. I know when I called Pfadt a few weeks ago the guy mentioned that a few dealers had some recently found sets up for sale. So that's likely what went out.

Hey guys. Thanks for bearing with us, we've been insanely busy over the last couple days in the process of moving our entire operation to a new facility in Salt Lake City.

We can assure everyone that there isn't a single set of our newest coilovers that have been shipped to anyone... As of right now the entire project is still a work in progress, and it's going to take a little bit more time than we had originally expected to get the newest coilovers ready to go. There are some prototype units that are installed on our Camaro, but they are the only ones in existence.

We will be releasing final production features as soon as a design is approved by our Engineering Department, but in the mean time there are a couple dealers who may have some of the older units left on their shelves. The new parts will be undergoing our rigorous Quality Control checks, including being bolted do our Damper Destroyer in the video below. Shown in the video is one of our older units during testing... only after undergoing at least 1,000,000 continuous cycles will we certify a design as production ready. Our engineers are hard at work making sure that the newest Pfadt Camaro Coilovers will be the absolute best coilover solution available for your Camaro.

And the new prototype units. The final design and finishes may change a little bit by the time production comes around:

I didn't know Pfadt was coming out with an updated coilover and just ordered mine today. When did, or when will the new style hit the shelfs? Can I swap out the old style (brand new) for the new style?

We are getting closer to production ready prototypes, we may be building some next week to begin our durability testing with. Because it's a product in development I don't have an exact date on when they will be available and without information on your specific order I can't tell you which units you're set to receive. There are a couple dealers that may still have Camaro Coilovers left in stock, and to tell you the truth even if you receive the slightly older set you're still getting more than your moneys worth. The newer units aren't going to be a drastic performance difference, but there are some slight changes.

If you have any questions about your specific order please contact the company who you placed the order though. They will have the specific details about your order and what will be shipped to you!

Well I was told they didn't have anymore sets left and since I got a really good sale I asked them to wait until the new ones come out and they said yes. So Pfadt any updates?

We are still working on them. Progress is being made... we recently finished a batch of parts which will become the front spindle mounts. If you friend us on Facebook we generally post photos of the fun stuff as we receive it/can talk about it.

I have already paid for mine just want them to hit the shelfs. I got a really good price and don't want to lose that price.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.
