Who's gonna be the first owner to go down the 1/4 mile?

So, now that people are starting to get these, how long til someone takes their new toy down the 1/4? Ginger's inaugural run was exactly a week after I got her with only 500 miles on her, so don't be shy!

I have a feeling we are going to see some speed shops run them before any private owners do. Either way, I'm ready for the videos!

I can't wait to see an auto equipped car run down a true 1/4 mile track with somebody driving the car who knows what they are doing, should be good

And if you do before the 1500 mile break-in will you void the "track" warranty?

I'm also anxiously waiting to see some 1/4 mile times from production ZL1's.

This is going to weigh EXTREMELY heavily on my decision of what I'm buying next. Barring any "factory freaks", if the best it can manage with a competent driver is low 12's with 11's being extremely rare to nonextistent.......well, we'll see.

I'll be driving back from Rodgers Chevrolet between now and that date, so confident I will have the 1500+ mile break-in by then!

Then the WHEELS/TIRES are up for sale............ Cause new ones are coming

Hennessey has a car in route that you know will hit the track behind their shop as soon as it gets there... probably won't see any numbers from them until the magazines get a hold of it.

My last one had 600 miles on it before I hit the track...

With a dead hook, 580hp at 4350lbs race weight will net 11.4 @ 118mph.
I expect a lot of guys times will be in the high 11's

gerry told me that mounting the new tires on the rims are a real bit---. something like $100 PER TIRE just for mounting them.

It's cool to see the rib on the sidewall that sticks out to the side giving some protection to the rim to help prevent curb rash.

becky also pointed out the fact that the word Camaro is actually cut into an inside rim on the wheel itself. If that inside lip could be painted in a mtching color to show off the Camaro cut into it, it would be beautiful.

I can see these cars needing either some sort of ZL1 quarter flares or 'mudflaps' to stop these monstor tires from kicking up everything and causing a serious roerpanel rash. Especially on the front wheels.

^AGREED!

I even would say, mid 11's even all night and day w/ an average driver with a Manual. I just cant imagine ZL1's auto trans times! This car was built with the word T R A C K in mind. For both, the Strip and the RCourse. Time for stomping those GT500's w/o traction and an archaic 3 way link rear solid axle set-up.

High 11s if you can hook up without the nannies...If you keep TC on and get a bit of spin it will slow it down.
