ZL1 Jacking points

Anyone know where the front jacking points are on the zl1? The underbody pan seems to be in the way!

Just behind the front wheel and just in front of the rear wheel. Refer to page 10-88 in the owner manual.

The manual is good for a tire change but doesn't work well with a regular floor jack. Problem is the ZL1 underbelly pan covers most of the frame. Same problem with jack stands. We worked it out with overkill on jackstands and multiple floor jacks but it's not optimal (but it is safe).

I will be interested where the lift pads will go! I know on the 4th gen some people lifted from the wrong place and it pulled away the part of the car behind the front wheel.

I hope my lift fits under it without the boards I had to use for my Z06 and my lowered 4th gen. It works, but so much easier if you don't need them. I had actually marked out on the floor exactly where to put the boards.

Those are only for the scissor jack that comes with V6's? The SS and ZL1 don't come with a spare tire or scissor jack. So I lifted with a roll around jack from the front under the K member with my SS. But the ZL1 has that aero panel there.

I have a feeling that these will work. They allow you to jack up a car using the lift points and then the stand takes over from the jack. Here's a demo using a Corvette.

Here's their website.
http://jackpointjackstands.com/

Here's another explanation of how they work.
http://jackpointjackstands.com/Home_It_Works.html

I emailed them today to verify that their set will work on a ZL1. After doing more Googling, I think I will buy a set for my anticipated 2013.

I think it's safe to assume that these work with the V6 and SS as well, correct?

They make little notch-blocks to use with a standard hydraulic floor-jack...I haven't looked for them in a while - but they'd allow you to use both the hydraulic jack AND the factory-recommended jacking points.

So there's no place to lift up the front 2 tires at the same time? Like off the K member on a SS?
