You cannot on the ZL1 grille the bowtie is molded into the grille so all you can do is remove the gold bowtie but you will still have the bowtie frame

How does the gold bow tie come out of the grill? Is it bolted in from behind or 3M tape?

It's pushed in 3 tabs that lock it into place to secure it to the housing I will see if I can grab a photo of the one I have laying around to give you a better idea.

Thanks, I plan to paint the gold on the front and rear bow ties.

And how exactly do they do a bowtie delete on the Egg Crate Grill? Oh right an insert... It's quite a simple solution really...

If that sounds condensing I apologize

Correct on the stock grille not on the ZL1 grill see the photos below you will see the middle section (ribs) of the ZL1 grille have the outline of the bowtie, and the inside is where the bowtie will sit so in theory they can but you will have a middle insert the shape of the bowtie. See the bowtie insert in the 3nd photo of the SLP bowtie delete and the stock in the 4th photo. The last photo is for OldJedi the tabs where the bowtie locks into place into the grille pad.

Sorry for the dome question, the current (non-ZL1 models) billet one doesn't fit?

Even with a bow-tie delete, you still have a shadow of the bow-tie that was there. I'm not planning to replace it, or remove it - but I am interested to see what our vendors come up with!
